How Do Road to the Final Cards Upgrade?

Road to the Final cards have the potential for up to 5 upgrades from progression in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League & UEFA Europa Conference League, as follows:

+1 OVR Upgrade - Win 1st Knockout Game After RTTF Begins (UCL) or Upon Qualification to the Round of 16 (UEL & UECL)
+1 OVR Upgrade - Qualify For Quarter Finals
+1 OVR Upgrade & New Traits - Qualify For Semi-Finals
5* Weak Foot Upgrade - Qualify For The Final
+1 OVR Upgrade & 5* Skill Moves Upgrade - Win the Competition

When Do Road to the Final Cards Upgrade?

Road to the Final cards will upgrade at the end of each week once a given stage of the relevant competition has concluded.

Leon Goretzka - FC Bayern

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - PSG (H) - 08 Mar - 20:00

Bayern are in a commanding position heading into their 2nd leg at home to Paris Saint-Germain following their 1-0 win at the Parc des Princes. Coming in at ~1,300,000 coins currently, Leon Goretzka is already no slouch, but if Bayern can progress deep into the UCL knockouts, there’s potential for one of the best midfielders in FUT.

Nicolò Barella - Inter

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - FC Porto (A) - 14 Mar - 20:00

A late Romelu Lukaku winner means Barella gets his +1 OVR Upgrade for winning the first leg of Inter’s Round of 16 tie. A trip to Porto is required to seal the deal though, can they do it?

David Alaba - Real Madrid

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - Liverpool (H) - 15 Mar - 20:00

Despite David Alaba’s substitution in the first half at Anfield due to injury, Real Madrid turned around a 2-goal deficit into a dominating 5-2 win over a defensively frail Liverpool team. His first upgrade is in the bag, pushing him up to a 90-rated card, and will be available in FUT from February 24^th.

Lucas Moura - Spurs

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - Milan (H) - 08 Mar - 20:00

The Lucas Moura hat-trick in Spurs’ 18/19 semi-final against Ajax still remains one of the great UCL moments of recent years, however, in order to recreate this famous run, they need to get past Milan, who possess a 1-0 advantage heading into the 2nd leg in London.

Kalvin Phillips - Manchester City

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - RB Leipzig (H) - 14 Mar - 20:00

A 1-1 draw to Leipzig means Kalvin Phillips doesn’t receive an upgrade initially, much to the dismay of all his FUT card owners, who saw his price drop from ~880,000 pre-match to around 600,000 coins after the final whistle. 

Wesley Fofana - Chelsea

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - TBC

Despite their poor run of form, Chelsea turned it around at Stamford Bridge and put in a performance worthy of progressing to the last 8. Wesley Fofana gets a +2 upgrade thanks to Chelsea winning the first game since release, and progressing to the Quarter Finals

Donyell Malen - Dortmund

Status - Knocked out of Champions League

Malen will be staying at his 87 OVR following Dortmund’s exit from the UEFA Champions League in the Round of 16 at the hands of Chelsea.

Nuno Mendes - PSG

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - Bayern (A) - 08 Mar - 20:00

The 2nd leg at the Allianz Arena on March 08 will not be one to miss! Nuno Mendes’ potential upgrade hangs in the balance, however never fear, there’s another Nuno (Tavares) on hand in Ligue 1 if PSG fail to advance.

Giacomo Raspadori - Napoli

Status - Still in UEFA Champions League

Next Match - Frankfurt (H) - 15 Mar - 20:00

Giacomo Raspadori receives his first upgrade on February 24^th following Napoli’s 2-0 victory over Frankfurt. The Italians look set to progress to the Quarter finals if they can continue their unbeaten home form from Serie A.
