FUT Birthday Vinicius Junior, we all know this item’s going to be good right?

There are going to be comments below, saying this Player Review is pointless because of the above right?

Well… we’re doing it anyway after I got this guy as a loan, I just had to try him!

Starting XI

As you can see we started the Brazilian out in the LM role in a 4231 set up, he remained in that role for most part during the games, but did get a chance to play the CAM role, in the 2^nd half of some matches.

In-Game Notes;

+ The PACE on this item felt amazing, his ability to just accelerate so quickly, 0 to 100 (or I guess 99...) real fast, loved that.
+ His dribbling was just so high level, you can see in the gameplay footage how the ball is just under control at all times, so easy to maneuver in game, he was a joy to have in possession of the football – better dribblers than I are going to run riot with this item!

+ Positionally he was outstanding, right place, right time, kinda player.

+ 5 Star Weak Foot, love to see that.

/ The strength and aggression combination felt decent in game vs Full Backs, but against high tier CB’s obviously they’ll knock Vini off the ball with ease.

- Sometimes the shot power just didn’t seem right, his shots were really accurate but just sometimes lacked power.

The Comparison

As noted in the video, it is a shame we didn’t see a further upgrade in the stats, fair enough they couldn’t do anything more with the pace, but a dribbling boost although not needed, would have been nice – Mainly just to see that composure rise a bit!

Obviously the main difference between the two items is the weak foot.

The Price

Yeah, he’s not cheap, and an item like this is never going to be, the question is more about is it worth paying extra for this FUT Birthday version, vs the TOTY HM Version.

I don't think I can justify spending an extra 2 million coins for a +1 star weak foot upgrade, because ultimately thats what you are paying for.

In Summary…

It’s an awesome card, it’s one that is not only effective to use in game, but is also fun to use, and that counts for alot for me. If you can afford to try him or can get the loan, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, the dribbling is truly fantastic.
