Team of the season is here! To ease us into the biggest promo of the year we’re starting off with some Team of the Season moments cards courtesy of the Season Rewards which for once, are surprisingly good! Keep it up EA!
So to kick start things off we have TOTS Moments Giovanni Reyna. Right off the bat, a free card is always a major plus! You can earn this card by getting to level 5 in the latest season. What’s the catch? In order to take this card you are giving up the chance at a 85+ x5 pack. So do you fancy your pack odds? This is the running theme throughout this season. You can see what else this season has to offer over in the season objectives section.

Starting XI
Reyna was providing assists in a 4312 formation. For this review, I opted for the Hunter chem style. His pace was already great but a slight boost can’t hurt and his shooting required a much-needed boost. He fit in really well with the squad providing all kinds of assists to the team's attack. The trouble I find with this card however is fitting him into squads if you aren’t running a Bundesliga side. However, that has recently been saved if you were smart enough to complete the Showdown Meunier SBC. For me though the main concerns are that this card is seriously lacking a WF boost or even at least some extra traits
But how did he perform in game?...
In-Game Notes
+Passing on this card was superb. Reyna could find his teammates in the dark. I was particularly surprised by his crossing. At 81 I wasn’t expecting much but I didn’t find any issues with it whatsoever. Which was a nice bonus.
+Pace was as good as you would expect when a card has a 90+ stat. But this also mixed in with high strength found Reyna pushing opponents off with ease and leaving them in his dust.
+Dribbling was also great, he was very agile on the ball and performed consistently throughout the entire game due to the 90 stamina.
-Positioning for me wasn’t amazing to me, Reyna was quite all over the place and would often leave the midfield absent.
-Shooting was mediocre, again what you would expect from 86 shooting which is why I went with the hunter chem style to give it the much-needed boost. However, this didn’t help with the Weak Foot situation, of which again we’re seeing another card miss out on this upgrade.
To Summarise
Whilst this card doesn’t cost anything coin-wise. It comes at the sacrifice of an addition to your current pack collection. So as mentioned previously, it ultimately depends on IF you will use this card and that he will fit your lineup. Because if you are only doing it for fodder, you may be missing out on a good chance at 5 fodder cards rather than just one.
Garcia hit the nail on the head though. The real winners are those that are still holding onto some of the fantastic Bundesliga SBC cards such as RTTF Diaby, Showdown Meunier & POTM Guerrero. This card is incredible, as you would hope with any TOTS level card. But there is so much more to come and for me, someone who doesn’t run a Bundesliga squad, I would personally say with take a chance on the pack for this one.
