Anyway for now we're going to focus on the SBC release which was a 93 rated Marco Reus, over the years Marco has had some outstanding items within Ultimate Team - but my favorite version of Reus all time is... his FIFA 13 MOTM, Anyway enough about the past, lets talk about the present Team of the Season Moments Reus is going to cost you around 300,000 coins if you are buying from scratch.

Starting XI

Reus is released as a LW, but can be played as a LM or a ST, we opted for the ST role since my club is full of Bundesliga wing options already...(He did get a go in the wide role, but was preferred centrally, more on this later...) 
He started off really well for me, getting a hatrick in the opening game, before following that up with a brace and assist in game 2, he didn't manage a goal in the next 2 outings but did contribute with some assists, despite not maintaining the form of his insane start he still ended with a brilliant record of 10 Games, 17 Goals & 6 Assists. 

Chem Style for TOTSM Reus

You have a choice to make here; It’s Hawk or Finisher, both have their benefits, and overall Hawk is the better chem style for him, but it's understandable why some may choose Finisher as it does allow his AcceleRATE type to become explosive on next-gen, I’d recommend Hawk, but there really isn’t a wrong choice...aslong as you pick one of two.

In-Game Notes

+ Right off the bat the Pace, at this stage of the game it's hard to be surprised by a player's pace with everyone receiving good upgrades in this area but instantly I was pleased with his breakaway ability. 
+ Reus' finishing in game took me back to those FIFA 13 days, because he was clinical for me, low driven, long shot, power shot, volley, left foot, right foot, no matter what it was, he finished it, really impressed with this area of his game, the 5* Weak Foot boost is fantastic.

+ Traits, just having Finesse & Outside Foot Shot is a positive - notable difference makers this year, and Reus’ made finesse’ look easy, he was so dangerous on the edge of the box, that ability to just curl the ball in with ease was well noted.

+ Dribbling was responsive, he felt great for quick turns.
+ The short passing game has to be commented on because it was brilliant, and his quick link up play was super effective in game, it’s kind of a shame CAM isn’t in his alternate positions...

- Honestly, I enjoyed this item so much, there really isn’t too much to say in regards to negatives but I do have to comment on the stamina, it’s rated 91 in regards to his attributes but it just didn't hold up well in game, it just seemed to deplete much quicker than expected.

is he worth it?

Yes. If you have a Bundesliga-themed side - congrats you have a new Striker, now fair enough this review is coming out prior to us testing the other Bundesliga TOTS attacking options, so you’ll have to look out for reviews on those, but all that aside this is the best ST option for Bundesliga teams at the moment, he obviously can do a really good job as a winger too but his ability to finish, with that 5 star week foot, combined with his electric pace and run making just made him a joy to use upfront.

It’s the best Reus item we’ve had in a long time, in previous FIFA’s he has had high rated items which have been decent but nothing too significant, this FIFA 23 TOTSM Reus is CLASS.
