Serie A TOTS Predictions FIFA 23

With the potential for one of the biggest points gaps in Serie A history, Napoli dominates the Serie A TOTS with six predicted players. What a side this could be with meta players in almost every position Serie A will likely be a popular option post-TOTS.

Guglielmo Vicario - GK - 78 > 92 OVR

The Serie A goalkeeper position is a strange one with not many from the top sides standing out. We could easily see a fan favourite win the vote but the shortlist could simply feature the likes of Vicario, Dragowski and Di Gregorio. For that reason, I have opted for who I think deserves it and that is Vicario, he has been a wall between the sticks for Empoli saving them on numerous occasions. EA have already noticed his performances too as he features on the shortlist for Community TOTS.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo - RB - 82 > 94 OVR

While you could argue a case for practically the entire Napoli squad don’t worry there is plenty of other inclusions. Di Lorenzo has been an ever-present face in the Napoli side featuring in all 35 matches. During that time he has supplied six attacking returns while helping to maintain the best defence in the division.

Fikayo Tomori - CB - 84 > 92 OVR

I’m not entirely convinced about Tomori’s inclusion however EA could easily throw him into the shortlist and if that is the case he will inevitably win the vote despite multiple defenders performing to a higher standard than him this season. With Min receiving a spot in the community TOTS, it does leave a spot open and what a card this would be if he does end up making it.

Theo Hernandez - LB - 85 > 94 OVR

With Hernandez finding himself included in TOTY this FIFA it was always likely that he would go on to be included in TOTS. He is a fan favourite within the game and his performances for AC Milan live up to that hype. He is so much more than just pace as shown at the World Cup the Frenchman can do it all.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - LW - 74 > 96 OVR

Not many will have heard about Kvaratskhelia before the 2022/23 campaign but after it, he is now a household name. This is the Georgian’s debut season for Napoli having previously played for the likes of Rubin Kazan and Dinamo Butani. It’s crazy to think how long this guy went under the radar. With 12 goals and 10 assists in a dominant Napoli side, he is likely to win POTY and establish himself among the very best.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic  - CM - 86 > 95 OVR

Milinkovic-Savic is never short of a special item and with a TOTS awarded in three of his previous five campaigns, it’s easy to see why. SMS usually starts the game with minimal usage but by the end, he becomes very in demand. If this projected TOTS card is anything to go by that will once again be the case. Lazio have excelled this season and currently sit in second place with SMS playing a huge role in their success yet again.

Nico Barella - CM - 86 > 95 OVR

I have to make some decisions based on the fan vote and Barella is one of those. If he makes the shortlist from EA, which I think he will, he will inevitably be voted in. He is heavily used on FIFA while also playing for Inter, he ticks the boxes for inclusion. That being said I do not think he has been bad I just feel that others deserve it ahead of him. With five goals and six assists, he has done a job for Inter this season but as for consistency, it's just not been there.

Paulo Dybala - CAM - 86 > 95 OVR

Dybala never really reached the level that was once hoped by Juventus fans but nonetheless, the Argentine is still a very talented player and can do a job for just about anyone in the division. With eleven goals and six assists this season Mourinho is getting the best out of him and an inevitable TOTS is just around the corner thanks to that.

Rafael Leao - LW - 84 > 95 OVR

One of the most anticipated TOTS cards in Serie A will inevitably be Rafael Leao with his 91-rated ST setting you back a mere 650k you can only imagine what a potential 95 will cost, despite being out wide. The Portuguese talent has managed 12 goals and 7 assists for AC Milan so far this campaign. At still just 23 years of age it's scary to think how high his level could get.

Lautaro Martinez - ST - 87 > 95 OVR

Both strikers in this side are easy selections, the first being Martinez who has managed to score on 19 occasions so far. The Argentine has been Inter’s main source of goals but the club have struggled recently and now find themselves battling for a European spot in Serie A despite finding themselves in a CL semi-final.

Victor Osimhen - ST - 83 > 95 OVR

Osimhen sits on top of the Serie A goalscoring charts with an impressive 23 scored from 29 appearances. Napoli have scored more than any other side in the division which is part of the reason they are currently walking the league. Osimhen has played a huge role in their success and is now being chased by numerous sides as a result.

Substitutes

Stefan Posch - CB - 75 > 91 OVR

It’s been an impressive campaign for Bologna who currently sit in 11th. There are a couple of fringe options for this side from them but Posch is seemingly the strongest. The Austrian has been a constant threat down the right-hand side, contributing to seven attacking returns.

Chris Smalling - CB - 81 > 91 OVR

Chris Smalling continues to excel over in Italy after his move from Manchester and although the shouts for his England spot have now died back down the central defender is still an important part of Roma’s side. A lot of sides in Italy excel defensively and Roma are one of them. Only conceding 29 goals in 31 matches. Smalling also chips in with a goal now and then, managing three so far.

Zambo Anguissa - CM - 81 > 92 OVR

Back to Napoli now with Anguissa being the fifth inclusion into the side. Anguissa was tipped to reach a very high level during his early playing days and had previously failed to live up to the hype. It looks as though as he has matured his football ability has improved as well. He is now a vital part of the Napoli side with his physicality in the middle being the main aspect but his technical side is often overlooked.

Stanislav Lobotka - CM - 81 > 89 OVR

Our sixth and final Napoli inclusion goes the way of Lobotka. Lobotka is a name you probably won't see in many predictions due to his lack of attacking contributions but what he does for this Napoli side shouldn’t be overlooked. The Slovakian is sixth among the Gazzetta average ratings showing how consistent he is week in and week out.

Mattia Zaccagni - LW - 79 > 91 OVR

With both Milan sides dropping points for fun in recent weeks Lazio have taken a strong position in the race for European football and now look heavy favourites to now secure a place. Several of their players have gone largely under the radar with Zaccagni being one of them. Now in double figures for goals, the Italian has been a consistent performer throughout, regularly receiving high match ratings from Gazzetta.

Adrien Rabiot - CM - 80 > 92 OVR

It’s been a drama-filled season for Juventus who initially received a 15-point penalty before the decision later being overturned. There are not many players in with a shout of this side from the old lady but Rabiot should be nailed on. The Frenchman has excelled for them during the 2022/23 campaign with eight goals and three assists. Rabiot was heavily linked with a move away but I’m sure Juventus will do everything they can to keep him now.

Ademola Lookman - ST - 77 > 89 OVR

Despite failing to stand out in the Premier League at Fulham, Lookman performed slightly better for Leicester. In the end, he opted to travel to Italy and sign for Atalanta and has not looked back since. The Nigerian has played all over the park this season but with the majority of his matches played in a ST role, you would expect the TOTS to represent that. He is currently joint third in the golden boot race with 13 goals and has an additional 4 assists.
