The next promo that’s been heavily rumoured to be coming to FIFA 23 is one of our favourites, Futties!
Futties is the end of year promo that has been running since way back in FIFA 15.
We get tons of content thrown at us with some recurring themes but a lot changes year on year. The important thing to note is that Futties means 85x10 season (hopefully)!
What Is Futties?
Futties is the promo that tends to cap off a FIFA game. We’ll get a ton of repeatable packs, returning favourites and lots of SBC’s to bring FIFA 23 to a close.
To kick off the end of year celebrations we’ll be given plenty of voting options to choose which players we want to see be given a huge upgrade.
We should be expecting a player pick to decide the first SBC at some point this week. Wan Bissaka, Havertz and Luis Diaz were part of the first vote last year with Diaz coming out on top to earn a 95 overall card.
Monthly favourites also come back as super juiced SBC’s with the first of FIFA 22 being Rodrigo De Paul - based on his October OTW card.
Which Cards Are In Packs?
No new cards will be added into packs but we will get batches of ‘best of’. Our favourite cards from each promo throughout the year will be added back into packs for a certain amount of time, last year we had 3 batches each in packs for 2 weeks.
We all look forward to the best cards being available but we had to wait until batch 2 for TOTS and batch 3 for Shapeshifters to be back in packs. Don’t worry though, there will still be some amazing cards available in the first batch as TOTY Mbappe and Messi were added back into packs for the first two weeks of Futties in FIFA 22.
Are There Futties Swaps?
Last year we saw a final instalment of swaps, that gave us 2 versions of a Futties Ben Yedder, Prime Moments Cruyff, Shapeshifter Di Natale, fodder packs and many more.
50 Summer Swap tokens were available to play for with the highest reward only costing 36. Once again we can’t promise this is coming again this year, we’re just speculating based on 22!
Do Futties Have Premium Chemistry?
We saw an updated chemistry system applied to certain shapeshifter cards and we can only assume we’ll see the same for Futties as we did in FIFA 22. There were two Futties card types, standard and premium.
Obviously the chemistry system is slightly different to last year but we think the same boosts will apply. Last year the premium chemistry worked the same as hero chemistry, they all linked to each other and gave off an added league link which is exactly how premium shapeshifters worked this year.
Do We Get Any Special SBC’s?
Futties cards will be coming as SBC’s via voting and monthly favourites as previously mentioned but that’s not all. We will be getting pack SBC’s which will hopefully include the one we’ve all been waiting for… repeatable 85x10 packs.
In years previous, this pack was available for just an 87 rated squad and allowed players to finally access the super cards they may have missed out on earlier in the year.
As the transfer window will be well underway throughout the promo, we’ll also be getting player moment cards at their new clubs. Last year we had a 98 Haaland via SBC, 96 Jesus via Objectives and many more!
FUT Champions Rewards Update
This is all speculation based on last year but during Futties we did see a change in the FUT Champions Reward system. Standard packs stayed the same but we did see a change in red picks and TOTS packs.
EFIGS TOTS Packs and Picks will be replaced with Shapeshifter + EFIGS TOTS Packs and Picks.
