FC 24 is fast approaching and in the run up we're taking a look at who we think will be the highest rated in each position! The first of the attackers starts today with right wingers. Let us know if there’s any players we’ve missed out!
#15 - Rafa - 83 OVR - Benfica
FIFA 23 Rating - 82
We did originally have Sergio Canales in our top 15 but his move to Liga MX means he won’t be making an appearance in FC 24 as far as we’re aware.
Rafa had a pretty decent season, scoring 14 and assisting 14 in all competitions which included 5 goals in the Champions League as Benfica reached the quarter finals.
We’ve given him a +1 to make him 83 rated next year.
#14 - Jadon Sancho - 83 OVR - Manchester United
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re downgrading Jadon Sancho from his 84 rating in FIFA 23.
The former Dortmund man has been disappointing since moving to United and the 22/23 season was no different as he produced just 10 goal contributions in all competitions.
We can’t see anything other than a downgrade but we’ve kept it minimal at -1.
#13 - Domenico Berardi - 83 OVR - Sassuolo
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
Berardi contributed 15 goals and 17 assists in the previous season which dropped to 13 goals and 7 assists this year and is the main reason we’re downgrading him for FC 24.
He unfortunately spent part of the season out injured which limited his number of games to just 27.
We've given him a -1 but we’ve seen plenty of special cards for him this year so shouldn’t affect his useability too much!
#12 - Otavio - 83 OVR - Porto
FIFA 23 Rating - 82
The Porto man has had a +1 rating increase every year since FIFA 17 so it’s only fair we stick with the same pattern.
Otavio chipped in with 20 goal contributions in all competitions as Porto won both cup competitions and the Portuguese Super Cup.
#11 - Ousmane Dembele - 83 OVR - Barcelona?
FIFA 23 Rating - 83
Ousmane Dembele is currently a Barcelona player but that could change for next season.
The Frenchman is in line to take up PSG’s right wing spot after Messi left for Miami but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
Dembele’s La Liga season was nothing too special, with just 5 goals but those 5 did contribute towards a league title win for Barcelona.
#10 - Pedro Goncalves - 83 OVR - Sporting CP
FIFA 23 Rating - 81
A third Liga Portugal winger enters the top 15 in the way of Pedro Goncalves.
We’re handing out our first +2 to the Sporting man after yet another unbelievable season coming in with 35 goal contributions in just 51 games.
Sporting unfortunately didn't win anything last season but that shouldn’t take away from the numbers he’s put up.
#9 - Raphinha - 84 OVR - Barcelona
FIFA 23 Rating - 83
Raphinha left Leeds for Barcelona and nearly doubled his output from the previous season.
Barcelona went on to win La Liga and the Super Cup with the Brazilian chipping in with 22 goal contributions throughout the campaign.
We’ve upped him from an 83 to an 84 for next years game.
#8 - Angel Di Maria - 84 OVR - Benfica
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
Liga Portugal wingers actually take up the most space in this list with yet another coming in Angel Di Maria.
The Argentine rejoined Benfica after 13 years away from the club following the expiration of his Juventus contract.
15 goal contributions was a solid return in a very shaky season for Juventus so we’ve kept his rating at 84.
#7 - Rodrygo - 85 OVR - Real Madrid
FIFA 23 Rating - 81
We’ve given Rodrygo a massive increase in rating after a very impressive season with Los Blancos.
The Brazilian returned 19 goals and 11 assists in all competitions and whilst a lot of hype has been surrounding Vinicius on the other wing, we certainly haven’t forgotten about Rodrygo.
We think a very deserved +4 rating is on it’s way for FC 24.
#6 - Moussa Diaby - 85 OVR - Aston Villa
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
Moussa Diaby rejected Saudi money and he’ll play for AVFC.
The Frenchman left Leverkusen to join Unai Emery at Aston Villa for their European adventure.
14 goals and 11 assists will hopefully be enough for an upgrade and treat us to a very nice PL winger for the start of the game.
#5 - Serge Gnabry - 85 OVR - Bayern Munich
FIFA 23 Rating - 85
Gnabry and Bayern only just got their hands on the Bundesliga trophy last season and had to rely on Musiala to come up with the goods at the very last minute.
Serge contributed 17 goals and 12 assists in all competitions and would usually be enough for an upgrade but we think he’s just below the level of those we have at 86.
#4 - Bukayo Saka - 86 OVR - Arsenal
FIFA 23 Rating - 82
Just like Rodrygo we’ve upped Saka by 4 giving him a huge upgrade for FC 24.
The 21 year old was one of Arsenal's best players last season and was one of the main reasons they were so close to winning the league.
14 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League alone is an insane return and why we’ve upped him so much.
#3 Riyad Mahrez - 86 OVR - Al Ahli
FIFA 23 Rating - 86
Riyad Mahrez leaves Manchester City after 5 unforgettable years with The Blues.
The Algerian won everything there was to win in Manchester including the coveted Champions League to complete the treble last season.
Mahrez came in clutch with 15 goals and 13 assists in all competitions which included a hat-trick in the FA Cup semi final.
#2 Mohamed Salah - 90 OVR - Liverpool
FIFA 23 Rating - 90
Liverpool themselves had a pretty shocking season but Mo Salah once again was their bright spark.
The Egyptian came in with 19 Premier League goals but unfortunately the reds could only muster up a 5th placed finish.
We’ve found it hard to upgrade Liverpool players after last season but certainly can’t downgrade Mo so have kept him at 90.
#1 Lionel Messi - 90 OVR - Inter Miami
FIFA 23 Rating - 91
As much as we didn’t want to, we think it’s only fair to downgrade the greatest footballer of all time heading into FC 24.
After a disappointing first season in Paris, Messi really stepped up this season coming in with 45 goal contributions and has already impressed in his first games for Inter Miami.
So why the downgrade? He’s just not the best player in the world anymore so we can’t justify having level with those who are.
Do you think we have all of our predictions correct? Are there any players we missed out?
