Manchester United ended their 6 year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup in February this year and look to build on that in 2024. They’ve lost some key players in the way of David De Gea, but have also brought in some fresh new faces. Here’s what we think their ratings will look like in EA FC 24. Rivals Manchester City had plenty of upgrades after their treble win but how will the Red Devils look?
Goalkeepers and Defenders
Andre Onana - 83 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 82
The Cameroon shot stopper made the switch from Milan to Manchester just a few weeks ago and has all the pressure on as he looks to replace Manchester United legend, David De Gea.
Onana kept 19 clean sheets across 36 games for Inter Milan last season and was a huge reason why they found themselves in a Champions League final.
We think Onana will get a +1 to an 83 rating in FC 24.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 80 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 80
AWB unfortunately spent a good portion of the season out injured and only managed to play 19 PL matches.
He played okay when he was fit but nothing too special. We feel harsh downgrading him due to injury so have kept him at 80 rated.
Diogo Dalot - 78 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 78
Dalot had a very similar season to Wan-Bissaka which is why the two shared the responsibility at right back.
The Portuguese international played just over 700 minutes more than AWB and once again didn’t stand out but wasn’t necessarily poor, we’ve kept him at 78 for FC 24.
Victor Lindelof - 79 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 80
Unfortunately for Victor Lindelof he picked up an injury at the start of the season and ultimately lost his place from then on.
He only played 20 times in the Premier League with other defenders being Ten Haag’s preference.
It’s only fair he gets downgraded after not contributing too much last season.
Lisandro Martinez - 83 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 81
We don’t think anyone actually expected Lisandro to have the effect he did on the Manchester United defence from the get go.
He could be paired with any of their central defenders and would transform the back line.
On top of his outstanding season with Manchester United, he also won the World Cup with Argentina in December, a very deserved 83 rating.
Raphael Varane - 84 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
It seems like every Manchester United defender suffered from injury last season and Varane was no different. He had 2 separate injuries keeping him out of 25% of league games.
The Frenchman had a very solid season when he played but wasn’t enough to warrant an upgrade so we’ve kept him at 84.
Luke Shaw - 81 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 80
Shawberto Carlos has been one of Manchester United’s most consistent performers over the past few seasons and it’s not surprising that he was once again in 22/23.
The Englishman played 47 matches across last season and chipped in with 7 goal contributions on top of 19 clean sheets.
Tyrell Malacia - 79 Rated
FIFA 23 - 79
Since his move from Feyenoord, Malacia has found it hard to break into the Manchester United back line with most of his minutes coming in cup competitions and from the bench.
He didn’t contribute at all going forward but was very impressive in defence, we’ve kept him the same rating for FC 24.
We’ve found it especially hard to upgrade Manchester United defenders especially, as they have shipped 4, 6 and 7 goals in matches this season.
Midfielders
Casemiro - 89 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 89
Casemiro has been great for Manchester United but there has been one major downside to his game - availability.
Casemiro missed 7 Premier League matches through suspension and his presence was clearly missed.
He had a good season but nothing too exciting that warrants an upgrade.
Mason Mount - 83 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
He may have joined Manchester United but after last season we don’t even think the big transfer tax will help increase his rating.
Chelsea were abysmal last season and Mason Mount has to take some of that responsibility.
He only managed to score 3 goals from attacking midfield and that has to improve for his move to be worth it. We’ve dropped him by 1 but is lucky it’s not more.
Jadon Sancho - 83 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 84
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re downgrading Jadon Sancho from his 84 rating in FIFA 23.
The former Dortmund man has been disappointing since moving to United and the 22/23 season was no different as he produced just 10 goal contributions in all competitions.
We can’t see anything other than a downgrade but we’ve kept it minimal at -1.
Bruno Fernandes - 87 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 86
Another very impressive season from Bruno and one that actually puts him on top of our CAM ratings for FC 24.
14 goals and 15 assists from the Portuguese man is an insane return and one that certainly deserves an upgrade.
He’s been promoted to Manchester United captain as it looks like Maguire is set to leave the club. A +1 for Bruno but we won’t be surprised to see plenty of performance based cards in FC 24.
Attackers
Antony - 82 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 82
15 goal contributions was a pretty decent return for Antony in his first season but for the price paid United expected more.
We won’t downgrade him but we certainly didn’t see enough output to warrant an upgrade.
Rasmus Højlund - 75 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 67
Manchester United went big this summer. They’ve needed a striker ever since Ronaldo left and have found their replacement in Rasmus Højlund.
The Dane has impressed everyone in Serie A and came with a huge price tag. We think this alone is enough to bump him up to a gold for FC 24.
Alejandro Garnacho - 75 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - N/A
Manchester United’s starboy played very well last season in the limited minutes he was awarded.
The Argentine has never featured in the game and this will be his first year with an Ultimate Team card.
We think a 75 is well deserved and just like many we expect a few promo cards throughout the year for Garnacho
Anthony Martial - 79
FIFA 23 Rating - 80
Martial will be the best in the world. It’s fair to say the Frenchman has failed to live up to expectations since moving from Monaco.
He spent 26 games out through injury last season and couldn’t fill in when Manchester United needed him the most.
He’s lucky it’s only a -1, but there’s always FC 25 for that.
Marcus Rashford - 85 OVR
FIFA 23 Rating - 81
The Manchester United attacker received a -4 downgrade for FIFA 23 but after an amazing season we’ve decided to erase that and give him his 85 rating back.
Manchester United won their first trophy in 5 years this season with Rashford scoring in the final on top of 30 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
More than deserving of earning an 85 rated for FC 24.
