I know for this stage of the game he is about 150k too expensive because of the weak foot and low balance but I have a lot of fodder so I done him because at the end of the day it’s Bale and the sentimental valve for him I’m this game is too much for me not to do. As expected he is absolutely rapid and can leave most defenders in his dust. Obviously the big red flag about this card is the balance but because of his body type, which has a weird way of just slithering past players, it almost makes up for it. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t a dribbler like Messi or mahrez is in this game but don’t think he moves like lukaku I’m his jeans and timbs. His shooting is very very good on his left foot and he can rifle the ball with it. The weak foot being 3 star makes it a hit and miss as expected but outside the foot trait does help to make up for that. I play this card as a left sided st and the passing is good enough for that role. The strength is again good and he can hold his down own against most defenders. All in all I personally think the card is pretty good and if you have a lot of fodder just sitting there I would do it. But if you have to pay the full price I wouldn’t be rushing to do this sbc as of course ea and their thick skulls aren’t the best at pricing surprising after 10+ years of experience
Shooting- very strong left foot
pace- it’s bale of course he’s going to be rapid
strength- he’s strong and will happily get physical
links are good as he’s prem
Price- just a bit too much
work rates- high/med would be great
weak foot- power just doesn’t feel there at times in his right foot
he might leave and play golf halfway through the game
I only needed three games to determine that Gareth Bale is an insane player, and probably worth his price tag, even though it is pretty hefty. Throughout these three games I played him at left Striker in a 4312 and used an engine chem style because he needed some pace and dribbling, and his shooting and physicals were already juiced.
Pace 10/10: With an engine, Bale has 98 sprint speed and 99 acceleration, which feels even faster in game. I think it is because of his unique body type or something to do with dribbling, but this Gareth Bale card could blow past any defender I came across in div 2, and run around them horizontally as well.
Shooting 10/10: There is only one problem I could find with Gareth Bale's finishing, which was volleyed shots on his right foot, and some awkward angle shots on his right foot. Other than that, this Gareth Bale card can score in every way possible.
- Positioning 10/10- Incredible, and makes smart runs, but does kind of hang in a false 9 role sometimes at striker, while the other one pushes the line.
- Finishing 9.5/10- Only missed awkward angle shots on right as stated before, but on his left, I don't think he missed a shot. On all of his shots he has an insane dip and curve on them that just find their way into the back of the net every time. Also the Shot Power is insanely strong, 98 is no joke.
- Long shots 10/10- What do you expect? Bale cards don't miss from outside of the box on that left foot. Gets incredible curve on his long shots, and their very powerful.
- Heading 10/10- This card dunks on defenders. He has those insane champions league goals from fifa 20 built in. This card can jump insanely high, and is incredibly accurate on them. He is an incredible near post header on corner kicks, and rivals Ronaldo in the air -- I think they're about even --.
Passing 10/10: The best passer on this fifa. This guy can weight through balls like no other, and does it in very tight situations in the box where it can't get to the keeper. The crossing on this card from what little I've experienced gets incredible whip and and chipped crosses I've used are pinpoint. His weak foot does not let him down at all on this card in passing, in any area I've noticed.
Dribbling 9/10: There are some tradeoffs in being 6'1", or whatever it is cm, but his dribbling seems no worse than gold Ronaldo's was. Also including his strength, and glitchy unique animations for getting and controlling the ball because of his body type, I haven't noticed any major issues. Still, he is pretty tall, so there will be some clunk, but controls ball very well.
Defending 7/10: The defending is very good for an attacker, which gives him flexibility to press from the front, or shift into a position lower down the pitch. This card could probably play in a Gullit role in as dm, or could easily play as cm in a 41212(2) or 4312.
Physicals 10/10: This card is an athletic specimen.
- Jumping 10/10- This card jumps out of the gym and dunks on any defender marking him in the box. Got multiple goals just lobbing the ball up to him in the box.
- Stamina 9/10- Finally a Bale without a Stamina Issue, can easily play 90 minutes, maybe not much longer if your pressing. He was at around 45% to 55% after each game on press after possesion loss, but still kept all his pace, and full sprint stamina at the end of the game.
- Strength 10/10- He is an absolute tank, no defender muscled him off the ball, and did that glitchy thing on through balls where the attacker just completely muscles off the defender multiple times.
Weak Foot and Skill Moves: 4* skill moves is fine, and the 3* wf is kinda cringe, but works fine if you don't over do it. Weak foot matters less in this fifa anyways, so cross goal shots with this card felt like they were on his strong foot.
My Opinion: This card is my favorite card this year, and I'd recommend that you'd do him, because he outplays his stats, and is just simply incredible. Fits a heading meta too, and is just incredible in all facets of this game.
- Pace
- Shooting
- Dribbling
- Physicals
- Defending is good for an attacker
- Aerials/Heading
- He is a little pricey, but I think outperforms Ronaldo, and costs about as much as him.
- Only 3* WF
- Has a little clunk(About as much as Gold Cristiano Ronaldo) as a consequence of being taller
YO look i am a spurs fan thats why i did this sbc if i wasnt a spurs fan i wouldnt do him cos bruh 309 k smh. ALSO i needed a defensive rm so yh why not do him although he is treating spurs like a fitness centre. Firstly his dribbling is ok. He doesnt feel sick on the ball but he feels ok. His dribbling is not bad but then when u start doing 4 star skills BALE starts tripping probs cos of the balance. I wouldnt say he has 72 balance he feels like he as like 80 but then the agility is cap he doesnt feelt hat agile. BUT if u dont do skills and want a rm that can finish, pass and can defend he is da one ig. YH he is pricy but damn pretty much every shot on goal my guy finishes. he is clinical bro. He can finish top bins and his free kicks are like sooooooooooo segsy. i had 4 with him in 6 games and sheeeeeeesh he can score free kicks. I would have preffered a left back bale cos thats when he was born to play spurs but we move. I just have sentimental value for bale ig. He aint worth 300 k but he is pretty good tho. Finishing is really good for some reason and freeee kickssss are sooooo mad. pace is calm i guess stick an engine on him for the dribbling or gaurdian so he can defend even more. End of day overpriced card but its bale for the spurs fans out there and do him if u want although i dont recommend doing him just cos of the price unless again u are a spurs or golf fan. Shit he doesnt link to muller :( might have to stick bale on the bench but yh bale is good not crazy. His totw is pretty much the same card but just less pacey and not as good at finishing,
Pace
Shooting
passing
dribbling is ok tho
finishing is ellittteeeee
can defend always a plus
free kicks are sooo maddddd brooo
from the prem so always good links and yh thats it i guess ]
if u really care is heading is mad
chip shot is a pretty cool trait to have
outside foot shot so calm
ok i guess i will give him a 7-8/10 because he can defend and his long shots are broken if he had finesse shot sheeeeeeeeeeesh
a
fr
ca
doesnt link to muller :(
pricy very pricy
country is pretty bad for links ngl
injury prone
he is gonna leave spurs :/ he didnt do bits this time tho
Since I'm a Tottenham fan i had to do this sbc. I know it is a bit overpriced and the card looks bad for the price but OMG! What a player he is ingame. I have played 6 games in the Weekend League with him and he was a gamechanger. I played him as a LCM in a 532 and as a striker in a 4222 paire up with prime Butragueno. I used the engine and finisher chemstyles for the two positions and they worked wonders on him. As a cm he brought the height and the strength that is needed but he also brought his rapid pace and his clinical finishing. As a striker he was incredible as well because he is a master of finesse shots and is really strong so he can body defenders who try to tackle him. I would compare him o flashback Robben but him being much better because of his size and ability to hold himself on the ball without getting bullied of it.
-Pace
-Shooting(especially power shots into the near post) and finesse shots.
-Passing was good at striker but better at cm with a engine chem style
-Dribbling can be an issue for people who are only good with agile players. But for the ones who are great at creating chances through tikitaka or find the through balls that lead him through on goal he is the one for you,
-Defending is not an issue since he isn't a defensive player but 65 defending is enough in the cm role if you have good defensive player around him.
-Physicality is good on bale but it would've been much better if he had more stamina because he will get very tired after the 60th minute if you play him in the midfield but at striker he can last 70 minutes.
-Lower agility than the (meta requires)
-Has to little stamina
-His biggest issue is balance because he will fall of the ball if a defender hits him with speed. But otherwise he can hold his own.
I will preface this review by saying that by no means am I a good FIFA player. It often takes me all 30 games to achieve my goal of Gold III, and I simply play the game for the love of squad building and playing with my favourite players. I also apologize for the lengthy review, this was the first time I ever felt compelled to write a review so here we go.
My performance this weekend league was full of ups and downs. After my first twelve games, I found myself in a terrible position at 4-8 after 12 games. My gameplay was extremely delayed and slow, and I couldn’t get anything going offensively while my defense was just awful. So, full of despair I made a rash decision. I decided to complete the Flashback Gareth Bale SBC. I am a big Gareth Bale fan, and his TOTY Nominee card from FIFA 19 was one of my favourites in the game. So, I decided to use my precious fodder to bring back this man-bunned legend to the club. I was also lucky enough to get Ndombele in my red picks on Thursday, so I could easily fit Gareth in my team. Anyway, to say Gareth Bale’s addition turned around my performance was an understatement. I finished Saturday with 6 wins and 2 losses to sit at 10-10 after the two days, and Sunday morning I came out of the gates to be 13-11 after 24 games. One more win for Gold III and I could move on with my weekend and finish some homework. But then disaster struck. I lost my next 5 games and was left with just one shot for the two player picks. So, I did as Gareth would. I took a break and went to play golf (it may have been one of my worst rounds of the year, but hey it’s the thought that counts). I queue into the final game, on the road no less against a wonderful Varane-Mendy partnership, and force extra time in the dying embers of the game. And who shows up when the game is on the line in extra time? That’s right. Gareth Bale, with a goal and an assist to propel me into the promised land of Gold III.
I’m sure by now, if you are still reading this, you are wondering how he actually plays in game, so here is my average-FIFA-player analysis for Gareth Bale, who I played at left ST in a 4-3-1-2 next to FUT birthday Marco Reus (also an absolute beauty).
Stats:
GP: 18 // G: 22 // A: 13
Pace: 9/10
He’s fast. This man has some absolute wheels. But, on the odd occasion, he did get caught or failed to break away from his man, which is why it wasn’t a perfect 10/10 from me.
Shooting: 8.5/10
Let’s get this straight, his left foot is an absolute cannon. He hammers the ball into the net. However, I did find him missing some opportunities, mainly chips and finesses. His 3-star weak foot was also somewhat noticeable. But as long as you keep it on his left this man does not mis much.
Passing: 9/10
As a striker, most of the passes Gareth completed were short 1-2’s. However, he did manage to thread the needle quite a few times. Overall, he can pass pretty well.
Dribbling: 8.5/10
Some very fraudulent gameplay made Gareth’s dribbling hard to describe. I definitely wish he had 5-star skills as I often found myself in situations where a quick scoop turn could have led to an easy opportunity. However, for his size and stature, he did feel responsive on the ball.
Defending: 6/10
I didn’t defend much with Gareth as a striker, but he did put in a good foot once in a while when he needed to.
Physical: 7.5/10
First off, this man can leap like a salmon. He rises like no other to win headers off corners, and scored some clutch goals doing so. His stamina was okay, he could go the distance, but, I was most disappointed by his strength, it did feel like he got pushed off the ball a few too many times.
Clutch gene: 10/10
Ice in the f**cking veins mate.
Final words:
In conclusion, I don’t regret doing this SBC one bit. As we head into May, I want to use the players I enjoy most in real life, not necessarily the most meta players in game. Nonetheless, Gareth did not disappoint and if you are on the edge and are a fan of man-buns, I would definitely recommend this Welshman.
Pace
The Cannon attached to his Left foot
Relatively easy to link
Man Bun
Clutch Gene
3-star weak foot
Doesn't have 5-star skills
Felt a little weaker than expected
Best player i'v used this year. Excluding bias since i'm a spurs fan, he is still the best player iv ever used.
I emptied out my club as soon as his sbc was released but it was 100% worth it. He is slightly overpriced however he is just simply unplayable.
get him before he expires if u hv the fodder.
Pace- 10/10 the man is faster than my what if diatta and the pace defo feels like 99. if hes chasing onto a through ball no one is ever catching him. kind of feels like gold mbappe for some reason idk
Shooting- 10/10 When he has a chance on goal, just close ur eyes, press B and listen to the ball tear through the fking net. On his left foot, he does not miss a shot. but theres more. His long shots are the best in the game. the man can shoot from anywhere for me. On his debut he banged in a goal from like 30 yards out. the shot power and his long shot accuracy is just different. I dont really need to say anything about his freekicks, expect for the fact that its gareth bale.
Passing- 8/10 not anything special but u dont need insane passes for a st. his short 1 2s are perfectly fine, so are his through balls.
Dribbling- 10/10 dont listen to the others. he is the furthest thing from clunky, he feels brilliant on the ball. He doesnt dribble like messi but he does have 10x messi's physicality. for his height and strength, he doesnt feel clunky at all. left stick dribbling with him feels natrual and there is no downsides to his dribbling.
Defending- 8/10 for a forward, his tackling and interceptions are mental. I sometimes play press after possession loss in a 4312 when i'm behind and hes perfect for that role. He can tackle defenders and intercept passes. He can easily play as a box to box if u dont mind the stamina.
Physical- 9/10 Hes not eoea rooney but he stands his ground. Barely any defenders iv come across could body this man, in some games he pulled the uno reverse and sat the defender down in a challange. His jumping and heading is also quite good, but not insane for me.
WEAK FOOT- massive downside to the card, his weak foot is worse than flashback ronaldo's and it just doesnt do the same wonders as his left. Since iv used players w 5* weak foot for the majority of this year it took some time to get entirely used to.
Lack of 5* skills, but I hv cr6 and bernardechi along with him so its fine.
So as I saw this card I thougt "Oh, that's a very nice card.", but then I saw the price. Well, at first I thought he is stupidly overpriced, but I had enough coins and SBC fodder to complete this guy. I played him as ST in the 442. Trust me, HE IS THE REAL GOAT! I have never played such a good card in Fifa 21 as him. Varane and Mendy are now in real danger! Bale destroyed them! He is fast af, his shoots are magnificent and his dribbling was surprisingly really good. Especially his longshots were the best I've ever seen in Fifa 21. Freekicks and corners are excellent too. 3* wf feels like 4*. So I recommend this card 100 percent. He is worth every coin. Trust me, he is twice as good as Mbappe and Neymar TOGETHER.
PAAAACCCEEEEL
LONGSHOOOOTS
shooting
dribbling
freekicks
corners (you have to shoot the corners with him!)
3*wf feels like 4*
maybe a little bit his balance, but if you play him with Finisher and Engine it doesnt matter.
sometimes a little bit his stamina, but if you have a nice super sub, it isn't a problem at all.
