FC 24 Bundesliga Team of The Season Prediction

With Leverkusen’s dominant, currently unbeaten, title-winning season it comes as no surprise that the Bundesliga TOTS is dominated by them. Munich manage three while Leipzig, Dortmund, Stuttgart and Heidenheim all feature.

Gregor Kobel - GK - 87 > 94 OVR

While you could make a case for Hradecky for his part in Leverkusen’s defensive record you have to drop some players from Leverkusen and I feel this is one of the easiest to do so on. Dortmund have the third-best defensive record in the Bundesliga while Kobel has made an impressive 83 saves to ensure that. The fan vote is also a factor with the Bundesliga and Kobel will get a lot of love from that.

Grimaldo - LWB - 84 > 96 OVR

The way Alonso uses his fullbacks allows them to excel on the attack and both Grimaldo and Frimpong have adapted superbly to that. The Spaniard was always a danger going forward while at Benfica but with Leverkusen he has taken that to an unfathomable level. Looking at stats alone with nine goals and twelve assists in 29 appearances you would never guess that Grimaldo was a defensive player.

Odilon Kossounou - CB - 76 > 93 OVR

With the offensive numbers being recorded you would be forgiven to expect Leverkusen to be caught out at the back. That is anything but the case with just 19 goals conceded from 29 matches. A figure which is 14 better than the second-best defence. Despite being just 23 years of age Kossounou has played a vital role in the backline and is among the best players in the division this season.

Jonathan Tah - CB - 81 > 92 OVR

While the whole side won’t be Leverkusen the backline probably should and could. Tah although the weakest option still has every right to be included. The Leverkusen backline has been phenomenal and Tah’s experience in the division has shown. With four goals to his name alongside that defensive record can you argue against Tah also being included?

Jeremie Frimpong - RWB - 83 > 95 OVR

Frimpong saw his first inclusion into a TOTY side this year and with what both himself and Leverkusen have managed during the 2023/24 campaign I expect the Dutchman to be a frontrunner for the next one as well. Regarding TOTS, Frimpong is one of the first names in the squad. Similarly to Grimaldo, his offensive figures are phenomenal, with eight goals and seven assists.

Leroy Sane - RM - 84 > 94 OVR

Sane could be listed as either a RM or a LM as his primary position but I expect this card to be able to play either. The German can do it on either wing and his versatility has helped Bayern Munich on numerous occasions. With eleven assists to his name he currently holds the joint most assists in the division while with eight goals to his name what else could you want from your winger?

Jamal Musiala - CAM - 86 > 95 OVR

The talent within the Bundesliga is right up there in world football. Musiala is one of the few Germans who look to be a dominant force for years to come. It was another strong season for Musiala who managed ten goals and six assists, primarily from the CAM role. Perhaps overshadowed by his German counterpart at Leverkusen but Musiala is a serious talent.

Granit Xhaka - CM - 82 > 94 OVR

While Leverkusen’s side has excelled from the offensive flair from several youngsters Xhaka has played a large on both on and off the field during this simply miraculous season which has so far seen them unbeaten and obtaining the Bundesliga title. Could the unbeaten treble seriously happen? Despite looking finished during his time at Arsenal Xhaka has proven that there is still a few seasons in him yet. The Swiss international should be an easy inclusion here.

Florian Wirtz - CAM - 85 > 97 OVR

I don’t think Wirtz is spoken about enough in world football. The German youngster is among the best talents in the world right now and should be up there in every conversation. The playmaking ability is second to none. With eleven goals and ten assists Wirtz has put his name in the hat for player of the season despite numerous other strong candidates and currently leads in terms of Kicker’s average match ratings.

Serhou Guirassy - ST - 77 > 94 OVR

With 25 goals from 23 appearances Guirassy has been a standout star in the Bundesliga this season his performances have caught the eye of numerous European clubs with Manchester United, especially being linked with him for the upcoming summer transfer window. The Guinea international has helped Stuttgart to at least a third-placed finish which you have to go way back to the 2008/09 season for the last time the club have managed that feat.

Harry Kane - ST - 90 > 97 OVR

With six games to go, Harry Kane is still chasing Lewandowski’s 41 goals in a single season. The Englishman has fallen off the pace but with 32 so far it’s still doable. Regardless of whether he makes it, he will win the Golden Boot, currently eight ahead of second place. The elusive league title will evade Kane once again despite making the move specifically for it. In terms of personal performance, Kane has continued to show why he is regarded as one of the best strikers in the current game.

Substitutes

Mats Hummels - CB - 83 > 93 OVR

With Hummels approaching the final stages of his career there has been some game management from Dortmund. I feel that the German has played enough football to be considered though. If that is the case Hummels makes a strong case for inclusion. With three IF’s to his name this season EA have been impressed and that should come into the decision-making. Dortmund’s defensive record has been strong and Hummels has also chipped in with three goals.

David Raum - LB - 78 > 92 OVR

A slight change in decision-making from my TOTSSF prediction, switching Leipzig wingbacks and now opting for Raum. Leipzig obtain the second-best defensive record in the division with 33 goals conceded from the 29 matches played. Raum has also provided a constant threat down the left. With two goals and seven assists he stands on both offensive and defensive statistics.

Jan Niklas Beste - LM - 74 > 89 OVR

Heidenheim have impressed during their first season in the Bundesliga. Despite it being the first time in their history to reach the division they look set to record a more than respectable midtable finish. Beste especially has shone for them on the left side, with seven goals and ten assists I expect the German to have the best chance of featuring outside of your main teams.

Xavi Simons - CAM - 79 > 92 OVR

There were several candidates for this squad who occupied the CAM role. Simons is the third in my prediction and with all three achieving high levels I do think all three will end up making the side. The creativity of Simons has played a significant role in the hunt for Champions League football with the Dutchman providing ten assists so far while also managing to score on seven occasions.

Deniz Undav - ST - 75 > 92 OVR

I almost opted to snub Undav but with two POTM awards this season is that an option? 16 goals and 8 assists for the German so far and Brighton will be wondering what they were doing wrong. Can he perform in the Premiership next season or will Brighton opt to cash in? Although Undav initially struggled to get into the starting line-up since breaking through he has excelled.

Victor Boniface - ST - 74 > 94 OVR

When it comes to controversial inclusions into these sides there have been far worse than Boniface on minutes played. Injuries have severely limited the Nigerian’s minutes but while on the pitch his influence is clear to see. Should he have been injury-free inclusion would have been inevitable. With eleven goals and eight assists in only eighteen appearances it's easy to see just how good he has been. The Bundesliga also has a vote factor involved and I am sure Boniface will be highly received there too. One way or another I would expect to see him across the promotion.

Lois Openda - ST - 82 > 94 OVR

Openda was a fringe option when I covered this division in January but his performances since then mean the Belgian forward is now nailed on for this squad. With 22 goals to his name, he is now the 3rd highest goalscorer in the division and with Leipzig battling it out for a top-four finish his performances may be crucial to achieving that in the coming weeks.
