Hello, you may know me from other Reviews as the Mainz 05 Fan and RTG Player. When the leaks came out, including that Boetius will be available as a Token Reward, i didn´t hesitate to complete the Token Missions and SBCs. I sold my old team JUST to be able to include Boetius on 10 Chem. Reviewing him after 7 games might seem... weird, but for me personally, i can judge if a player stays or not after 5 games.
I gave Boetius a Hawk chemistry style, but i think an engine is suitable aswell.
In his first game, he struggled a bit, but after playing with him one half, i knew i made the right choice with him and picking the Hawk Chemistry Style. He then started to show really good performances on a consistent level and soon became my main goal scorer: 10 goals and 4 Assists in 7 games in DIV 2 speak for themself.
He plays as my central CAM in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Now onto the detailled review/ the pros and cons:
+ Pace: Easily outruns your average Kimpembes, Cozzas etc.
+ Shooting: it feels so powerful, but also accuraate because i dont feel like i have seen him miss a shot on target if it wasnt blocked by a defender on the way
+ Passing, very good, very few misplaced passes, but stil fells very good.
+ Dribbling: He feels like a GOD with his high agility. The 5 star skills improve his dribbling and make him really playable
-Defending: doesnt need it
-Physicality: doesnt really win his duels, still enough physicality though to win the ball with a tackle
Tried out this Boetius instead of taking the guaranteed fut birthday pack with the swaps tokens and i did not regret it. He carried me to 9 and 4 in champs and I gave the rest of my wins away, after he bagged 11 goals and 8 assists. Played him CAM with a hunter in a 3-5-2 and his positioning is up there with the best I've seen this fifa. Trust me, try this guy out instead of getting doku or torreira from the fut birthday pack!
Insane attacking positioning and runs, pinpoint passing, great finishing and 5 star skills are really nice. Insane lofted balls as well.
Sometimes felt a bit clunky with his turning, but this was partly due to the terrible gameplay this weekend anyway.
Also erstmal zum Anfang: Ich bin nicht die Art Spieler, die immer das spielt was grade "Meta" ist wie z.B. Kimpembe, Fekir oder jegliche andere Franzosen. Ich spiele die Karten, die ich will. Und nachdem OTW Malen zu einer Vereinslegende bei mir geworden ist (450 Spiele) aber in den letzten Tagen doch erheblich nachgelassen hat, habe ich mir diese stark aussehende Karte für 10 Tokens erworben.
Was soll ich sagen? Nach 5 Spielen bereits 12 Tore und 4 Vorlagen, eine absolute Maschine im Sturm. Schnell, wendig, guter Abschluss, passsicher, wuselig, und natürlich die 5* Skills. Es gibt nichts schlechtes an dieser Karte, dieser Mann kann alles und ist wahrscheinlich eine der besten Karten in dieser Promo, wenn nicht sogar eine der besten Stürmer in diesem Spiel (Icons ausgenommen). Ja, ich spiele dieses Mainzelmännchen alleine im Sturm mit Hunter, wie er als 10er funktioniert, kann ich hier also nicht beurteilen. Investiert die Tokens auf jeden Fall lieber in ihn anstatt in das Team 1 Pack aka den Torreira Simulator, denn auch wenn ihr kein Bundesliga Team habt ist der Mann von der Bank wahrscheinlich der holländsche Petersen. Ich lehne mich hier nicht aus dem Fenster wenn ich sage, dass das der beste Stürmer ist, den ich JEMALS in FIFA gespielt habe. Ein absolutes Muss für jedes Bundesliga Team (Und eigentlich auch für jedes andere)

- Das einzige was man ankreiden könnte, wenn man ein Erbsenzähler ist, der sich über jeden Mist beschwert ist die Physis, aber wenn man so einen quirligen Stürmer mit 5* Skills haben will muss man eben einen Preis bezahlen
- Kopfbälle werden die einzige Art sein, auf die ihr keine Tore mit diesem gottgleichen Holländer schießen könnt, dafür sind 178cm und 61 Kopfballpräzision einfach zu wenig
Since this promo was a while ago and you can no longer get this player I am probably only writing this review for the people who I played against and who were like who the bleep is this dude and why is he effortlessly tearing my defense apart. This is FB Boëtius and he is without a doubt my favorite player so far. This card is just absolutely cracked and I feel bad for everyone missing out on playing with him. I played him next to many great attackers like Eusebio, Lewa TOTY, or Stoichkov IM, but this guy is better than all. He rarely misses a shot inside the box and scores insane finesse longshots, and his weak foot feels like 5*. Passing and positioning are perfect, and with his body type, acceleration, and 5* skills his dribbling is out of this world. What makes his skills better than many other 5* skilled players is that he responds insanely fast to skill instructions.
Last but not least, his stamina allows him to keep running all game, this works perfectly with his H/H work rates.
