I packed this guy in the prime gaming pack from 1 of the player picks (definately claim this pack if u have amazon prime!). All of his stats are 83+ which is a massive dub. In game he drives my midfield and controls the game, with a shadow he can even run down the wing and put a good cross in. He made an amazing slide tackle on mbappe potm which I didn't expect. He felt really slow for 83 pace so I put a shadow on him. Would definately buy him because he is just under 75k and a great bargain. I play 4-1-2-1-2 in game and easily fit into the cdm spot behind hagi at cam. He can sometimes be a bit sloppy if you like to play possesion a lot but I would definately recomend him if you can get chem on him.
When I first saw a player who had all his main stats at +85 for only 60k I had a feeling something must be wrong with him. And indeed... In a 4-4-2 formation I placed him next to a regular Llorente and maybe that's why I have such a negative feeling. Merino despite having better almost all stats was worse in everything. What irritated me the most was his sluggishness and total lack of commitment defensively and offensively (high/high WR!!!). You want a good Spanish midfielder then get the much cheaper Llorente.
+ he is just OK in every stat, but nothing more than that
