So here is my 100% honest review for Rodri. I play Division 1 and I'm not a big fan of using large players in midfield but this man completely changed my mind! He is crazy strong and can push almost any player off the ball. Players with a lot of pace like Mbappe will struggle to get past this man if you time your tackles well. Now unfortunately he is a bit clunky on the ball and will struggle to run forward like McGinn or Fred, who are faster and more skilful on the ball. His shooting is also not so amazing so if you are about to shoot with Rodri, rather lay the ball off to someone else with better shooting. I play him CDM in a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) and usually just pass the ball forward when Rodri makes a good tackle because he does tend to stay back in a defensive position.
Defending - Makes amazing tackles. You're basically playing a defender in midfield.
Physicality - Can push almost any player off the ball, he's very strong.
Dribbling - Kind of but not really, he can get out of a pickle relatively well but don't try too much fancy stuff with him because of those 3* skills. His ball control is quite good but don't rely on it.
Stamina - His stamina is up there with the likes of players like Kante. You can guarantee he'll play the full 90'
Passing - Amazing! He can pick out the most perfect passes. That 99 short passes and 97 long passes will never let you down.
Shooting - Don't depend on him to bang in goals, his shooting isn't great. EA obviously hasn't seen the goals he's scored IRL
Pace - Kind of quick for his size, but don't go chasing fast players, let your centre backs do that. And also don't try running forward with him, most players can catch up to him while he is on the ball.
3* Skills - As I said before, he can sometimes get himself out of a bad situation
