I might be dreaming, but I swear this card was between 500-600k upon release… I know for a fact he was 700k as of this weekend… and now as of this writing, the Bayern man sits at a seemingly ever increasing 900k. Well done to those of you that had a set and forget mentality with the German in your squads prior to this weekend, and for those like me that bought and sold, given the markets in FIFA 22 it still simply had to be done. The real question to ask though is, what has caused this massive rise in price? 1. The market this year is insane as prices seem to hit rock bottom, only to see LUNA-like disaster the following day. These crashes have seen cards starting at insanely low levels right from drop 2. New meta players such as Gvardiol need Bundesliga links and therefore the need for WL ready players is high. 3. Most importantly and most likely… People are waking up to the insane statistics and consistent performances of this classic FIFA superstar. Regardless of reasoning, I think I may have already played my hand with #3 and how this review turned out. But here are the facts. I returned to the 4-2-2-2 this weekend and knew immediately that Kimmich would be the perfect fit. The only question was whether to use Kimmich in the traditional CDM style or as more of a box to box midfielder. In the end, I opted to try both and came up with zero answers because Kimmich is fantastic regardless of instructions and you seriously can’t go wrong. As for chemistry styles, I might be more tempted to use a HUNTER when using the German in the box to box role moving forward, but found the application of the ANCHOR style perfect for my needs this weekend. With all that said, Kimmich took his place as the lynchpin at the center of the pitch all weekend long in the following squad:
There are a lot of cards that you could use from past FIFA generations to compare with this card… and all of them bring back fantastic or traumatic memories, depending on which side of the card you were on. Versions of Kante, Sanches, and Verratti all spring to mind and instantly insight images of a smaller midfielder wheeling around the pitch, breaking up attacks, flying into tackles, dictating play, and ultimate running the match. Even previous versions of Kimmich himself from previous generations were built from this mold and maybe it is no surprise that this card is this dominant.
One Match With Kimmich

Assembled in a German factory, Joshua Kimmich was rolled off the assembly line built for performance. The card has zero time for skills and maybe a deal breaker for some, but for me, it was a non-issue in the midfield throughout this review. The engine was designed for performance and longevity as Kimmich’s 99 ACCELERATION was quick off the start, while the 86 SPRINT SPEED felt considerably faster in game. The rate at which this card closes down opponents and wins the ball back is staggering. TOTS Kimmich is one of those cards that you always feel you have one more touch on the ball before they arrive… until you don’t. The 99 STAMINA ensures that the hard miles don’t take a toll on performance and overall the design suits the box to box style perfectly. But all of this pace and power would be useless without the ability to control its output and thankfully the 93 AGILITY, 93 BALANCE & 92 DRIBBLING make for responsive and agile turning, both when trying to wriggle for more space in the midfield and when jockeying opponents. Maybe the best part about this card is that this movement and pace are rewarded when you get Kimmich in the right positions to interrupt play. Save for the 87 HEADING ACCURACY, this card boasts 99 Defensive Statistics in each and every category and then delivers on those promises in-game. My favorite would be the 99 INTERCEPTIONS as Kimmich just always feels like he is picking up the best positions to make himself successful, and then has the quality to carry out the required tackle. This card is an absolute menace to opponents and was key to an easy stroll into 14 wins, falling just short of 16 at the death.

900k is a pretty penny by FIFA standards… but Kimmich also has some pretty fantastic statistics. In fact, he stands alone when you search by his minimum base statistics as his numbers truly do the talking. When you consider the fact that TOTY Kante is 2.6 million I think it becomes clear that despite the increase in price, Kimmich is still a good value for coins.
Just when you think he can’t do anymore, you start to see the results of what Kimmich can produce when he is on the ball as well. One look at his foolish passing statistics and it becomes clear what kind of a midfield operator you now have on your hands. 97 VISION, 99 CROSSING, 97 SHORT PASSING & 99 LONG PASSING are beyond excellent and into iconic territory, while the shooting statistics are far from awful (and borderline fantastic if you opted for a HUNTER style). The results… 6 goals and 3 assists across 15 matches, all while controlling the advances and threats of my opponents… Simply fantastic in my mind.
Closing Words
Having just packed Kostic in my Bundesliga guarantee I couldn’t be more disappointed... simultaneously my mate has just let me know that he opened Kimmich with his. Jealous doesn’t begin to describe it and to those of you that pulled the Bayern man this week, I envy you beyond words. A great addition to any squad and even creeps into the game changing category of players available. The control that Kimmich has over the midfield is fantastic and his contributions undeniable. I still wouldn’t quite put him on the level of Future Stars Bellingham and I can’t even imagine the quality of his TOTS… but Kimmich is knocking on the door and had a profound impact on my squad across this weekend. I put this card in the must try category and would love to hear the experiences of those who have tried him. For me, he was the total package. Hoping you are safe and well. Cheers for reading.
So after months of not playing the game, i decided to come back and endure the mental torture that is fut champs. I ended up getting prety lucky with my red picks as this man showed up. Kante was great but his passing always caused me issues in building attacks.
So how is this Kimmich? Absolute god, he zips around at the speed of light tackling better than Kante, can ping a pass like prime Xabi Alonso, shoot like Roberti Carlos.
Anyway i think you get the point, you wont get disappointed one bit with this card.
This guy is an absolute game changer, the best midfielder I've used in Fifa. I got lucky last week and got him in red and immediately had to use him. He is everywhere on the pitch and intercepts absolutely every ball and with his 99 stamina he'll never run out of juice. His passing is perfect (as perfect as it can be in this game) and he is agile and great on the ball. I played him as DM so I didn't really have an opportunity to try out his shooting. If you have the coins you have to get this card.
TOTS Kimmich is an absolute beast! Luckily, I got him from the 84*25 from TOTS Swaps and decided to give him a run in my team for this weekend's FUT Champs. Looking at his price drop from Ultimate TOTS, you may now think this is a bad card because of the relatively cheap price tag, but the German midfielder is quite the opposite. After trying the likes of Moments Matthaus and prime Vieira, Kimmich can certainly live up to that high standard
Main Point
Kimmich is a phenomenal Box-to-Box midfielder as he seems to be everywhere on the field. He can quickly help defend with a deep-lying defence and can also get up to help assist the forwards.. His super high stamina helps him to become 'Kante-esque'. Also, his high/medium work rates can help with that.
Conclusion on TOTS Kimmich
Overall, Kimmich is a great pickup as he sits below 200K at the time of writing. With more incoming market crashes, Kimmich will be one of the best defensive midfielders in the game and comparatively at a low price tag. If you have the budget I would try TOTS Kimmich and you won't be disappointed.
