For this weekend league I decided to try out the most expensive card every FIFA. It goes without saying, however this card is VERY expensive and obviously that is always relevant.
His dribbling and ball control stats are already very high but with the extra boost to his dribbling. It made skill moves feel very quick and definitely were usable in tight spaces inside the box which is very game breaking this year. This card is crazy expensive but if you can afford him there's no other attacker this year that's gonna touch him until TOTY. The only other comparable Strikers or Attackers would be CR7 (affected by his low balance and sub-90 ball control, as well as his strength) or Puskas (highest shooting stat pre TOTY is crazy, however 3* 4* is a bummer). Lastly obviously is Pele, who has lower strength, and doesn't have the 5* 5* or the fresh cut.
To finish this off I want to just say that a lot of people are writing this card off because of the meta this year. Im here to say that as a "skiller" from last year who would use any skill or cancel that was meta, this card is super meta with an engine this year if you are using the right skills (shot fake into la croqueta, shot cancel, elastico/reverse elastico, or the ball roll scoop). His insane dribbling stats alongside 89 strength and crazy high acceleration make him a demon in the box which is game breaking this year with how goalkeepers can save shots and with AI blocks. The only complaint possible is 91shot power and 89 long shots (Lower than CR7, Eusebio, Cantona, Puskas, or Baby RVP), I say that's low because shooting top corner this year is a must inside the box and long shots can win people games this year. With a basic chemstyle I think he would be more "meta", however an engine makes him feel more unique and fun in game.

I only had 12 winter wildcard tokens, so no 10x85+ pack for me. I thought of cashing in Daka but then I thought "fuck it", let's go for the ultimate pack. And well, triangle haircut Ronaldo.. I love this guy, I remember that we were in Amsterdam on a field trip for school during the 2002 world cup finals. As soon as Brazil won a scooter was blazing through the city, must have gone 90 km/h with someone standing on the back holding up a Brazilian flag.
Dropped him in my Serie A squad, he replaced rulebreakers Arnautovic and has just been banging goals in left, right and center.
Pace, this guy has it, blistering fast. Turn around, accelerate and you're past the defender. Do the quick ball roll (hold RS down) and let go, you're past the defender. When you have the ball in defence, you can send him deep and high through pass the ball with one of the CB's and you'll usually end up in a one-on-one with the goalie.
I can't mention pace without talking about his dribbling. To add, he has the engine chemistry style but the executing speed of his skills is beyond normal. The elastico or reverse elastico feel like cheating. Roulettes, la croqueta or just zig-zag moving all feel incredibly strong.
Strong? Yes, he is. When the skills fail and he bumps into a defender. He'll usually come out on top as well. In these situations it just feels as if the ball is always his. If he's not winning on pace, then it's on strength.
Now that you got past the defender, finishing... One word, phenomenal. Left foot, right foot, yes. Inside the box, yes. Normal shots, low driven, or finesse shots all find the target. But what if you can't get in the box? Well, his long shots isn't special but he has scored a couple of screamers for me. You just flick touch the ball, run up to the ball and fire.
His defending? Not bad I guess. He has bullied some centerbacks from the ball. His passing as well, he can do the one-two through passing with the CAMs. But his assists were considerably lower than that for Arnautovic. I'll admit tho, I'm forcing goals with Ronaldo that I wouldn't with Arnautovic. With engine he actually has a good passing stat, but it's just not his task and neither is defending.
He's the whole package deal, his finishing is lethal, pace is blistering, dribbling is butter smooth and strong to boot.
He's untradeable, I'd love to spend 8m on a fun team.
I've been very fortunate to use many different players this FIFA, I've had TOTY Ronaldo, TOTY Messi, TOTY Lewandowski, and Prime Eusebio. When I had enough coins for R9 I pulled the trigger and purchased him. I play on PS5 so there's that automatic DropBack and it's Park the Bus Simulator. Ronaldo has been an unbelievable card and is the best card I've used so far with Eusebio being the second best, The TOTY cards don't even come close. His pace is very good and he is super rapid. His Shooting is the best trait about him, having 5 start 5 star is a game-changer, I call him an auto shooter because everything goes in. The amount of goals you can score through doing an Elastico inside the opponent's box and somehow jamming it's way past is crazy, He is the best forward have used and he can do it all, he can do everything but I noticed he is an amazing poacher, he gets in the right positions all the time and scores every chance. His passing is as good as you'd expect it to be with his stats, his dribbling is top tier but it may be noticeable during bad gameplay that he is a little sluggish but very rarely, and I hardly even noticed it. his strength is amazing and he can get past the best defenders
He truly makes the game enjoyable, especially on PS5 where it is all park the bus and the backline are inside the box right next to the keeper.
Onestly he is just insane, makes the difference and is a game changer.
I tried Pelè mid, Cruyff, Eusebio,Mbappè IF etc. and he is on a different level but the problem with him is that his performance strictly depends on the connection and the gameplay situation.
If you play him in WL on evening/afternoon he literally is CR7 gold, nothing more. He turns like a truck and becomes really really hard to use,the only thing that remains is his unreal shooting, but for 10M i'd expect more from him in the tough games of WL/Elite Divisions.
Obviously in the games where the gameplay is quick enough, as i previously said, he turns to be a complete monster, and justifies his price making the game fun to play again. In conclusion i sold him aftere 2 WLs because even if i have a great connection as we all know most of WL games have a terribly slow gameplay (if you don't play during night i guess) and i can't afford to spend 10M on a player that in those matches is worse than an Eusebio baby for me due to his agility. Moreover his stamina is pretty bad, he'll last around 65/70mins.
packed this guy last weekend and decided to replace my gold Rashford, but I'm not sure he really lives up to the hype. His shooting was inconsistent, he was slow and chunky, and was really hard to link into my prem team. used in a strike partnership with Werner, got outscored pretty badly. usually finish silver 3 in fut champs but this week I only play the fut champs qualify and lost all of them. really not up to scratch for division 9 rivals either. honestly, probably gonna upgrade to in form Harry Kane, if I can afford it. futbin says he is worth 0 coins, so im gonna min list him for 1,500,000, I hope he sells. would not recommend even if you can find him for his 0 coin price tag. Vini Jr was able to complete more dribbles then him while werner averged more goals per game over the fut champs qualification.
