Ingame I played 4-1-2-1-2(2) with "Gini" as CDM. After 14 games I surely know that Wijnaldum is one of the best DMs on this game although he only walked away with 0 goals and 1 assist. Personally I often score with my player after at least 10-20 games however even WITHOUT the "Stay back while attacking" tactic and despite the High attacking work rate Gini wasn't in the opponents box a singel time in those 14 games. This might be good or might be bad. The good thing is that you know that he stays defensive and won't storm in to the attack, while the bad thing is that if it is very tight in the box and you need a runner he won't do it.
So let's yump in to the stats...
PACE (9/10):
Although he is fast he is not as fast as someone like Spinazzola, or if the opponent has someone like Vini Jr, Wijnaldum won't outpace him - but he won't get destroyed.
SHOOTING (8/10): Even though I know that he hasn't scored a single goal I still know that his shooting is good - at least his finess shots outside the box.
PASSING 10/10):
His passing is top tier not much more to say. Long passing and over the top through balls are really good. Short passing at 99 is also fantastic.
DRIBBLING (8/10):
Although the dribbling on this card is promised to be in the spot light it is not like that. If I steal the ball from someone I have to immediately pass it to for example Barella. Or else Gini just runs in to the opponents midfielder. But to be honest I'm s**t at dribbling in FIFA and should probably not talk. All for all it's nice knowing that you have 5* skills on him.
DEFENDING (10/10):
My favorite part about this card! He is pretty fast and just has the ability to rob ANYONE of the ball. He doesn't bully players of the ball like 94 Chris Wood, he just steals it nice and easy. And if he against all odds doesn't take the ball, he will be pushing the player to another teammate, for example your CB so you can take the ball with him. Imagine a taller Kanté with more strength and better heading.
I
PHYSICALITY (10/10):
As I earlier said he doesn't have that raw strength like Pogba. However he has unending stamina, enough jumping, and good aggression.
-Everything above.
-There is a chance that he might get upgraded.
-He is pretty cheap.
-He has okay links(he can play on 7/8 chem without problem).
-Annoying to play against.
