Thiago is fantastic box to box playmaker who provides a strong defensive presence. In a three man midfield in a 4-3-3, or as a member of a two man double pivot (i used him in a 4-2-3-1), he functions as strong ball carrier out of defense who is capable of progressing the ball into the opposition half himself, or passing the ball to other players on his team to build an attack. He is a very press resistant player, as in real-life; the 5-star skills, agility, deceptive pace and physical presence makes him perfect as the attacking oriented midfield player in your team. Functions well in a defensive capacity, but would not rely on him solely as a defensive midfield. I paired him with Future Stars Caqueret, and they were a perfect tandem in midfield. Thiago's movement, due to his acceleration and agility, is very similar to kante's, (more so than caqueret's) and had great defensive animations due to having the dives into tackles animation. Probably the play that sums this card up was a goal he created in the 90th minute of a FUT Champs game, where he intercepted a ball off UCL MOTM Kante, ran down the wing, outmuscled the pusuing Kante and threw him to the ground, and played a pinpoint cross over Flashback Varane for my Prime Torres to head in the winner.
