This card after the upgrade is insane! He is the cheap flashback Messi with a little better positioning and dribbling in my opinion.
I played him in 2 formations throughout the handful of games, I found him better playing as a RCF in a 4-3-2-1 formation as he can bang in cross shot goals with ease.
His dribbling is insane as well! He can easily dribble past a Virgin Van Djik any day of the week!

Used Boufal since he was an 87, picked him up for 20k at it seemed a steal at the time. Using him pre upgrade to 88 he seemed good but not amazing, his shooting left some to be desired and he sometimes seemed delayed to respond.
However post 88 update he is phenomenal. He is the best dribbler I've used for a long time and definitely the best I've used this game. Difficult to say which position would be best for him because unfortunately as of now his shooting still isn't the best - even with a hunter. Perhaps as a CAM you may be better off with something that boosts his shot power - 90 pace is more than enough for someone with dribbling as good as him.
Overall he's a very very good player even if he doesnt get any further upgrades, unfortunately his links slightly let him down, however if you find the right chem style to fit your playstyle and position you would play him, he'd fit in any team with ease. If Morocco manage to make it any further it would only make this guy even more amazing, but thankfully 4*4* is also very acceptable.

Shooting 7/10 his finishing is not bad, but it's also not amazing, he will occasionally let you down and I can't ignore that in a review.
Defending 2/10 - crap, as expected
Physical 6/10 - he has good balance which keeps him on his feet, however he is not strong and will be pushed off the ball, and definitely won't be winning many headers.

The card by itself is amazing, but sometimes, he just cannot score one on one, i was playing him in Champs and in the 90 th minute he is going one on one with the goalie everbody would have scored, but he missed it. I was in shock and got worse rewards because of him, so he is good, but sometimes he is shit. BUt for the price he is good. I sold him at 87 for 35 k.

So this card with all upgrades is an odd one, but he is not great. A little bit about me, I play mainly a 4-2-2-2 and all games were in FUT Champions (and qualifiers) as well as Div 1. I pulled Boufal untradable early on and he made it into my current La Liga/Ligue 1 Budget squad which consists of cheap but very usable players because why not, I play an RTG and have zero packluck.
Boufal is really cheap and if you look at the face stats, he seems kind of incredible. Good pace, good shooting with a hunter, good passing, insane dribbling, decent physical, 5* WF and 4* skills, so why would he only be 28k as of writing this review? If you think it's because of his nation or Ligue 1 I would disagree, he links with Hakimi and other great players from PSG for example, so it shouldn't be too difficult to fit this card into your squad.
However, the card doesn't live up to those face stats. If you look closely you will find okay, but definitely not good Reaction-time and Composure which both really matter. Despite his 95 Dribbling overall he doesn't compare to players like 89 Correa in terms of actual ingame dribbling. His physical is also essentially a 60. The only stat boosting his value there is stamina, but he only has M/L workrates so he doesn't run all that much anyways, the stamina is a waste. His somewhat low strength and aggression become an issue pretty quickly once you face decent opponents. His workrates also mean he sometimes doesn't make a run at all and is almost competely useless going backwards. Also even with a hunter he doesn't seem that fast, I don't know why, he just doesn't really speed away. Maybe this is because of his workrates where rarely makes runs that would utilise this stat to the max.
Over all at a higher level this card therefore just seems to be floating around the pitch without much of an impact. His stats for me look really good but and he does indeed use his passing well and once in front of goal he will score most opportunities, but there are also games where he just doesn't show up and those are the games that matter. It doesn't really help that he scores 3 in a game where I win 7-1 and could have played most strikers in his position if he doesn't do anything in tight games.
So if you want a budget-player and you play some Ligue 1 give him a shot, but don't expect too much. He isn't great, he will not turn your fortunes around.
