So, how can I start this review. First review this FIFA and it is during TOTS season. Many cards to review and I choose this guy. At first I thought: "I have Abraham alredy, this card it's pointless". Until I packed Bergwin out of an 85 x 5. So, I completed him and linked to other 3 crazy Eredivise cards on this squad (https://www.futbin.com/23/squad/4373009). And the team was ready to roll.
Tried him with engine, but the same old story with this kind of strikers: they are still clunky. So I tried a hawk on him, and it was amazing.
I used a 4231, with Modric supporting the attack, Raúl at CAM, Bergwin at RAM and Raphinha at LAM, to provide De Jong the crosses he needed.
Stats:
In 4 games with engine he managed to score 6 G and gave away 2 A, which is still really good, don't get me wrong. But hawk... completly different story. 30 G and 11 A on 22 games.
Pace: 9/10
He is surely no Mbappe, but those physical stats combined with his general pace, my god, he is a demon on 1v1 running against a defender. Araujo, Bonucci, Varane, VVD, Ramos... No one could stop him. Name a defender, he gets past it.
Shooting: 10/10
He has a cannon on both feet, unstoppable from any angle. Trivelas, power-shots, finesses... He is the shooting merchant. 5 ★ weak foot helps a lot, as well as his composure and his high shot power stat. Definetly his fattest W. Hawk only makes it better.
Passing: 7/10
He is the GOAT, but not everything is amazing on this card. His passing feels weak sometimes, even with engine (yes, this is part of the reason I went for a Hawk, I'll explain later). He truly is not the best passer, but for the most part, he gets the job done. Just don't cross it with him, instead make him recieve the cross.
Dribbling: 9/10
Whacky one. How can a tall and clunky player get a 9 out of 10 on dribbling? Easy. Apart from the agility, his dribbling is really good. He has the ball attached to his feet, and if anyone tries to get the ball from him, he will just protect it with his body. As I said, apart from the agility, really good, even without engine (he is clunky alredy, don't even try to switch it, it just does not work).
Defense: NA
He got some nice interceptions with his head, but nothing we should really care about.
Physical: 10/10
As all this "tank" strikers, his physical is his SECOND best stat, only behind shooting. Didn't feel a problem with his stamina or his strength. However, the jumping is quite noticeable with a hawk, so he will be more useful as a target man, more than he even is without boosting his physical.
Free kicks - Corners - Penalties: 10/10
As you can expect from this player, his headers are amazing in corners. He is always on position and always jumps higher than the defenders. As for the free kicks, I would not reccomend it, but he is still really good (shot power carrying). Penalty you get = guaranteed goal.
And that's all I can say about this card. If you are reading this, you truly are a hero in De Jong's eyes. Also, I'm sorry if your eyes hurt after reading this, native spanish speaker here, english is not that easy for me. And that's all for this review.
