Player Review

Recently used on a 5-game loan to suffice for the lack of impetus for my supporting striker 93 Raul, paired with 97 Pele in a 4-2-2-2 formation. Found myself in a predicament, with Raul not doing enough in my search for promotion from DIV 3 to 2 [started playing late May]. In despair of Raul's inadequacies, and deseperate to go up a division as I had passed my last milestone - I had no choice other than loaning someone with little consequence. With only two games with Rooney in my team, I'm now close to DIV 1 (partially due to the 2x-win streak bonus). Rooney is easily a S+-tier attacker, and surely ranks amongst the most decisive players in this game. EA have done this card great justice with him playing like the CF we all remember in United's glory days. Quick, tenacious, clinical... the list goes on. Perfectly weighted passing which was noticable from my first game with him, and a terrifying power shot. I had grown sour to players with the right stats and right playstyles not doing me any favours with their finesse shot & power shot-traits, but this guy blew the opposition out of the water. Incredible in buildup-play, but not exactly needed to accomodate that playing style as his efficacy is most noticable with Prime, AC-Milan, Kaka-esque through balls, lethal finishing, witty attacking AI and powerful physique. Such a shame that his SBC won't be realistic for casual players.
