It's so sad that van Basten couldn't fulfill his potential. He could have won 2-3 more ballon dor's easily. He could into the early 2000's. Nevertheless, he was so so good. He could score headers, bikes, volleys, freekicks, pens, and with both feet. He could drop back deep and give some assists as well. He was a complete striker and that's why I rank him as the best number 9 ever.
