Wilfried Nancy’s only fan left in Glasgow that doesn’t support Rangers (he managed Johntson in 2022 at Montreal and then sold him to Celtic)
The game should've been called off and postponed after the first half. It was repulsive how UEFA allowed the game to continue immediately after the Danes watched their own teammate nearly **** on the pitch.
I'll admit fault in that department
For context on why David got an Unbreakable card, he was told to quit playing football in 2023 by his own mother. By this point, David had got a full year without scoring a goal for Sirens in Malta and was sent to Nomme Kalju's 2nd team in the 3rd division of Estonia. Ever since that call, he's won Union Saint-Gilloise's first top flight title in 90 years, turned down the Nigerian national team's call ups to play for Canada (and that was before Congo did the unthinkable) and scored Union's first ever goal in the Champions League.
For those who are questioning why you need a player from Burkina Faso, Minoungou recently swapped national teams.
That’s no joke, he lost his left eye in 2023 due to an infection and could’ve retired then.
Considering the context of the Unbreakable promo (players who overcame life altering injuries and accidents that almost derailed their careers), I’d argue Eriksen should’ve had the highest rating. Had things panned out differently that day in 2021, he would’ve never played again.
I still remember when Inter Miami were caught cheating by having 4 DPs in 2021 (Higuain, Matuidi, Pizzaro and Pellegrino), couldn’t make the playoffs and were a complete train wreck until Higuain woke up and fired Miami to the playoffs in 2022 … and then they ended up bottom of the league halfway through 2023. This club was an actual train wreck until Messi showed up, possibly worse than Chivas USA (and that’s not a stray shot at LAFC fans, I’m talking about the real Chivas USA).
The better team won in the end, if Whitecaps had only capitalized on the opening hour it could've been a different story. The difference will always be Messi, during his worst performances in the playoffs (Game 2 against Nashville where he scored a late goal to cut Nashville's lead in half), he still got at least one goal contribution.
Did the World Cup draw start yet?
They only have 12 Argentine players in their starting XI whenever Messi is unavailable
If you’ve been following Whitecaps, this definitely felt remotely impossible ever since Whitecaps and that 2015 was the club’s permanent ceiling. Whitecaps was eliminated twice by CPL opposition in 2019 and 2021 in the Canadian Championship and even when Dos Santos was sacked, his successor; Sartini still had to operate on a thin budget with limited success until 2023. Now they’re in an MLS Cup Final half a year after reaching a CONCACAF Champions Cup Final.
Wait until Tani creates the perfect Canadian link in La Liga
What's annoying is that this is the only player from Italy's squad that won the 1982 World Cup who has an Icon/Heroes card in FC26. Heck, EA kind of messed everything up by going with the 1982 edition since the highest ranked player with a card in FC26 according to the Golden Ball rankings is Zico at 5th place. The real MVP was Juventus star; Paolo Rossi who was the top goalscorer at that World Cup despite a short international career with the Azzuri.
Scored one of Scotland’s 4 goals, the other 3 goal scorers all got a MOTM card
Shankland should’ve received a card
“It’s not shite being Scottish.” ~ Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hampden Park
An absolute bottle job by Suriname, they need a new manager if they want to stand a chance against the DR of Congo or Iraq in March. Plus don’t forget, if Guatemala hadn’t conceded an own-goal in the 93 minute, then Honduras would’ve qualified for the playoffs instead of Suriname.
Hard to believe that Haiti with all of the instability and violence in their country managed to end Costa Rica’s golden generation and qualify for the World Cup. Nothing but respect, especially for those fans who travelled all the way to Curacao for such a momentous occasion … and Nicaragua for taking Honduras down with them.
Agreed, Eustaquio may lack the quality of someone who was an active starter for Bayern and was on Real Madrid's radar, but he's more of a leader for Canada and can stay healthy. But deep down in my heart, it will always be Atiba even though he retired a couple years ago.
Nice, we’re getting both Fleming and either Davies or Eustaquio in this promo right EA … right? I mean, you guys know we’re cohosting next year … so who wants to play FIFA 20?
Even after Toriyama passed away last year, his legacy will always lives on with millions of Dragon Ball fans
Qarabag are no joke, they could make the preliminary rounds if they keep up their efforts since Napoli and Frankfurt are struggling this year while Ajax at the time of writing are 36th place. Not bad for a club that was homeless a few years ago.
It’s satisfying watching Wrexham transition from having absolutely no Welsh players apart from Davis, Dibble or players with Welsh roots like Mullins to actually having internationals with Moore, Ward and Broadhead. Heck, McClean was still getting called up to Ireland when he first joined Wrexham back in 2023.
I hope Racing and LDU gives us a Copa Libertadores Final without a Brasilero side. They’ve steamrolled the continent for nearly a decade now and the Club World Cup did an amazing job showcasing their talents on a global scale which only reinforced the narrative that it would be another Copa Libertadores title for the country that perfected football.
He had some of the greatest mentors at Orlando like Kaka, Molino, Nocerino and some days of the week, Dom Dwyer
The problem is that most players rather risk having limited caps for their main national team rather then play for a smaller country and become a legend. Haiti has some amazing players like Nazon, Pierrot, Ade and Arcus even before the new wave of players joined. However, their depth is still shallow with a lot of players called up from the US 2nd division and the political turmoil in Haiti has destroyed their domestic league while simultaneously making home fixtures for their national team impossible.
There's a weird glitch that turns Wolff into another player if linked to Jasper Moon similar to The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.
I think EA included Denis Suarez in Alba's SBC as a reference to Luis Suarez. I know they were all teammates at Barca, but it's just a hunch or maybe I missed something.
If only they held it together for 5 more minutes in Panama City, Suriname would’ve ended this window on the edge of the finish line instead of a 3-horse race with Panama and Guatemala.
Thoughts and prayers to Shamrock Rovers who are going to lose Pico for a month next season because Cape Verde qualified for the World Cup instead of AFCON.
I’m sure Bounga, Wagner and Messi will get their dues next week, especially considering how low the ratings are for Philadelphia after winning another Supporter Shield
There's not too much lore left other then James playing in many different leagues across Hungary, Greece, and the Canadian league. Interestingly enough, James who was born in Roseau, Dominica also played against his native country in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers when they drew Canada in the earlier rounds (Canada was ranked 122nd when the qualifiers' draw began). James would became cap tied to Canada on his own native soil in Dominca after being harassed by the Dominican fans for choosing Canada (who went on to win 6-0 on aggregate).
True, perhaps I was a little too hasty since he could go back to Uruguay and retire on his home soil
It’s a shame Bair couldn’t maintain his tempo after leaving the Scottish Premiership for Ligue 1, at least he did an amazing job beating off Young Boys with that hat trick
And Darlington Nagbe … or Luis Suarez
Needs a TOTW card, he scored a hat-trick while we weren't paying attention in Moments and is teammates with Kim Jong Woo
I still think that brawl with Messi, Suarez and Campana in Guzman’s net was more iconic then LA Galaxy winning their first MLS Cup in a decade last season, we need more chaos in MLS.
Probably one of the greatest DPs in MLS history thanks to Chara’s longevity after joining 14 years ago, won Portland’s first MLS Cup in 2015, turned Valeri into the 2017 MVP recipient and convinced his brother to join his club for a few seasons. Playing against Chara is another story, he’s a big fan of the dark arts and will always give you a vicious nudge with the widest grin in all of MLS.
We did it bois, we got a Swedish Icon! … Unfortunately we didn’t get The Swedish Icon.
Currently the top goalscorer in MLS at the time of writing, though I wouldn't be surprised if Messi catches up
Looks like we'll be getting more Wrexham special cards now that they're in the Championship League, though I'm beginning to dread what's to come since the questions about whether the Welsh side can get a 4th consecutive promotion has altered to whether they can avoid relegation or not.
Not the worst performance to put out on your birthday, I just hope the Raumdeuter will play in the Canadian Championship.
Surprisingly enough, Cornelius is the 6th Canadian to play for Rangers, though Miller barely played for them in the 1980s, Giacomi never got a game with the main team and Gasparotto and Aird both played for Rangers while they were trying to get promotion back to the Premiership during the 2010s.
Bro went from playing in the Champions League for Midtjylland, to playing in Ukraine during an active war and then left Costa Rica to for a stint with a club in New Zealand playing in the A-League. And yes, I know I left a LOT out, but there's too much to cover for James.
No, that's just Tobi
Borjan went from getting dumped into Slovenia (BEFORE Slovan Bratislava qualified for the Champions League) to balling it out against Ronaldo, Benezema, Neymar's teammates and Mahrez. It's a shame Borjan is no longer interested in the national team, that game against Jamaica a couple years ago really did a number on his reputation.
Probably the first good DP that Toronto FC has signed in the past 6 years instead of getting a disinterested foreign players or sacrificing a DP slot to keep an aging player who would've accepted a TAM contract.
I think I liked it better when Kent and his inevitable special cards had league links to James Tavernier and Scott Brown instead of Son Heung-Min, Thomas Muller and that Messi chap who won a few trophies with Barca and Argentina.
The Dwayne De Rosario regen if you somehow swapped him from an attacker into a keeper
It's a shame, Puig sacrificed his entire 2025 campaign just to defeat Seattle in the Western Conference Final who probably would've won the 2024 MLS Cup if he had been subbed off before assisting the winning goal for Galaxy.
Imagine telling someone in 2020 that it’s possible we might one day see Thomas Muller playing an away match at Tim Hortons Field or York Lion Stadium in the Canadian Championship (our cup competition).
The downgrades were to be expected since the ceiling for MLS has always been historically low. Just 5 years ago, the highest rated player in MLS was Carlos Vela, Higuain and Blaise Matuidi at 83-rated and the latter two had just joined Inter Miami from Juventus. You can thank Don Garber the commissioner of MLS who is still trapped in 2001 when the league nearly folded and two of their clubs folded and constantly lives in fear if a club just wants to increase the salary cap.
I'm sure David will get a much deserved upgrade when he showcases his qualities with Juventus, especially after spending the last 5 seasons with a Lille side that kept selling everyone but him and Andre
Probably one of the best big names from Europe to bring into MLS considering Son's maturity, the massive Korean population and he's only just turned 33. I know a lot of players like Shaqiri and Insigne reignited this opposition to bring in these types veterans from Europe to MLS, but I think Son might be an example of how to handle a big name signing rather then someone who just wants the money and then retire. Heck, a lot of fans keep forgetting what happened with Zlatan when Carlos Vela made that comment about his age.
He’s just a local scouse lad from Egypt
Indeed, before Bum-Kun there wasn't an Asian marquee signing because of their quality or to expand the club's brand into Asia. There are defiantly better Asian players nowadays and in recent decades, but without Bum-Kun, there never would've been an annual 99-pace Son Heung-Min.
It's a shame that Bum-Kun will probably become one of the most despised cards once Icon packs are released instead of being recognized for proving Asian football players can play abroad. Apart from North Korea's bizarre run in the 1966 World Cup, the continent was completely ignored until Frankfurt gambled on a semi-professional Asian player who only needed one season to win the UEFA Cup.
I'd throw CF Montreal's RWB; Alistar Johntson as a potential option as he scored the lone goal in Montreal's 1-0 win over New England Revolution.
I'd throw in Ricardo Pepi for his brace against Jamaica in the US' 2-0 win, probably a Silver Star reward with game-breaking pace.
