I would say balanced wise Makelele is better because he simply has the 80+ pace to maintain with the meta. Nesta requires a different playstyle which is not meta and more rogue, but could beat meta if needed.
Got him in the 87+ Base / Centurion Player Pick. Tested him out, and going to give you my honest opinion. I slapped a Shadow onto him and he is meh... He is just not good enough for the current meta which is pacey players, dribbling, etc. His stats are ok, he can tackle, but that is it. When it comes to pace it comes too short, I rather put my 91 DiMarco evolution on that spot than Nesta unfortunately. There are far cheaper and better options on the market than Nesta.
