improved in the toty patch, ES had the blueprint to having better gameplay but somehow they did the whole opposite with the next patches

I love how this year 5 backs where so broken they got instantly gutted but 4213 was left untouched the whole game

it’s the truth, every time an outfield player gets released as a GK, the game still registers them as an outfielder, giving them the outfield basic chem style. This makes the game thibk that you have a random outfielder in goal and he plays like ass.

he is naturally an outfield player, so when u get the card out of the pack, instead of having a GK basic chemistry style, he has an outfield basic chemistry style and the game acts like he is just a random outfielder in goal, which makes him play like trash, for him to work you have to apply a gk basic (i thibk the other gk chemistry styles work as well)

im just going to pray that the next goal i concede is not a driven pass to a cdm, driven pass to a cam, first time through ball to the winger and cut back goal, it’s the only way people score apparently

you want to play arcade mode and not care about the rewards, you can queue into mystery ball friendlies NORMALLY and not the cup, while if you want the rewards you play the cup. Yes I’m playing for the packs so I can do more sbcs, better my team, play other game modes and be able to keep building a past and present pf my favorite team, is that really sad?

tried her and although her tackling and intercepting was very good, she was getting ragdolled around in the back. Such a shame that EA added the roles BS otherwise she’d be better off as a LB or CDM

people are not playing for “fun”, people are trying to get their packs to either pray they pack someone or do some sbcs, nobody wants to play a whole ass boring game with garbage gameplay when the rewards are so average. I quit the game today. Been thinking about it for a while but today was the final straw. I can’t keep playing a game where you are forced to play like a rat because of mechanics the own company implemented and refuses to balance. Until there’s a patch that fixes AI defending being broken, until there’s a patch that fixes the pass aim situation, I am out. Look i wasn’t the best, but i was elite div this year and averaged 13-2 in champs regularly, last 3 champs where unbearable. I just want to enjoy some passing footy, not whatever this bs is, it horrible

i quit, finished champs 7-8, got **** all from rewards and deleted the game right after

ligue 1 champs went 12-3, prem champs 13-2, bundesliga champs 10-5, didn’t play serie a champs cause i had finals so i was studying and now im 6-6 this weekend. I’ve changed formation 5 times, switched half my team, but nothing works. R9 feels like a crane, my winger’s cant run, switched to narrow and my midfield can’t 2 to passes in a row right. The defensive AI legit doesn’t even let you move, attackers are missing sitters in front of goal with no pressure because I didn’t green time, my goalkeepers have let shots go through them while my opponents GK is a brick ball. Idk how to play anymore

i just love players that do aura interceptions, they can be running backwards, not even looking at the ball but somehow they will perfectly intercept a pass that they couldn’t possibly see because they have their back turned away from the ball

i’d just love to know how using 1 singular formation can actually make you a damn near un penetrable defense. Like every time i face a 4213 i have to do some insanity bullshit to go through just once. I thought it was just a skill issue but then I used it for 4 games and the 4 games I had a clean sheet with barely even getting shot at, it’s so absurd

double tap r1 when you opponent has a player down the wing to cover open players inside the box, anticipate the low driven shot so try to commit with a slide tackle/moving the keeper that way/ rushing the keeper out and praying he does a save with his feet. You can play any other formation with 2 CDM’s but none defend like it, because it’s broken, even the damn CAM is defending in the box at times. 4231 the CDM’s are always wide, 4222 they stay floating around but never deep, 4213 they sit in the box

1 game he is amazing in every aspect (even defending ffs), the next game he misses every shot but becomes an insane playmaker, the next game he does nothing. Literally a constant cycle of that

I just love queuing into a game just to instantly lose the ball from kickoff because every one of my opponents players have a ball magnet in their feet

Not abuse the same things as everyone else for starters? I play a 41212 narrow with wingbacks and short passing, no pressing no offside traps no aggressive line depth just pure tiki taka football and i’m able to perform. It’s way harder yes but it’s not impossible like everyone makes it seem.

i average 13-2 and I agree with him. Only players left are 4213 spammers, spamming through balls to the wing, hovering with their CAM so the defensive AI defends for them and spamming R1 for the second man press.

the concept of playstyles obliterated the game. You’re telling me that a player with high 90s in short passing and vision cannot do a 2 yard pass to an open player becase he doesn’t have pinged pass or tiki taka? You’re telling me a defender is allowed to teleport, do capoeira moves as tackles and stretch 10 meters for a tackle because he has anticipate. Try a through ball without incisive, the player will just pass the ball straight at the defender no matter how much space there is for the pass. And then there’s playstyles that to this day i dont see a difference between having and not having

the toty patch lasted 1-2 weeks and now every week the game is just evolving into AI defending spam simulator. Attacking AI is so ahh you have to manually trigger the runs, play against EA passing the ball to your opponents and not to your open player and if you make it into the box, pray that the rng doesn’t make you miss a greentime shot into the open goal after the opponent moved the keeper. But defensive AI, you can just hover around the pitch with your CAM and watch how your defenders SMOKE anyone that tries to go through. The game is borderline unplayable now

i’d love to know what is EA’s obsession with defensive gameplay. The defensive AI is so disgustingly broken to the point that ATTACKERS defend almost perfectly. You can beat a defender, make him over commit and somehow he will miraculously recover. For example I did a mcgeady spin cancel going right and exited left, the CB in question tackled to the opposite side i went but as soon as i went the other way around somehow he teleported mid tackle and took the ball. And it’s a common occurrence that defenders do things like that. But attackers can’t even run, they just stand there looking at you.

for real man. Before you could mix and match evos and make great cards that were all different (i still remember my thiago almada from last year) but the caps just make the same card over and over again, only difference is the name of the player.

perfect balanced fullback for me. Intercepts the ball and passes it into midfield with ease to start an attack.

idk how to feel about him it’s weird. One game he is incredible, doesn’t miss a chance and dribbles amazing, the next game it looks like he has beef with the post the amount of times he hits it and his dribbling feels like he is stuck to the ground.

i totally understand that but the real reason of this outrage is that he just left his contract run down and the team got nothing in return for him which left the fan base with a sour taste. Players like coutinho and suarez, even mac allister at brighton extended their contracts to latter get sold to leave the team with something but trent just left. That’s how I see it

i have not used him but every time i faced him in champs he locked me up in ways i didn’t know where possible. The last game I played against him he won 9 out of 10 standing tackles, 4 out of 4 slide tackles, 7 interceptions and 5 blocks. So if you are thinking of buying him then u can use that as reason for doing it ig.

slap tiki taka + and an engine on him and you will have the best playmaker in the game. carried me through champs by his chance creation alone

guys for everyone asking if he is better than x goalkeeper, just try him and compare, because goalkeepers are just random. For someone he might be good, for others he is bad. A big example, everyone said that dreamchasers allison was trash but for me he’s been the best goalkeeper in the game.

Defenders can completely tear every muscle in their body and tackle from damn near the other side of the pitch.

41212 narrow, last week it was precise fluid football, today every pass option is hidden, players just stand there doing nothing

from elite div to not being able to win a game in division 3, tactics I used to get 13-2, now are just a free path way for attacks and conceding, but hey 4213 still busted so that’s cool i guess. And the defensive AI is so **** absurd at this point I don’t know how to attack without getting either crushed, mauled or intercepted

I love how this game actively rewards you for not controlling your own backline, but when you control it, even if you defend perfectly the ball is just going straight back to your opponent.

it like every game is the olympics for running. No one plays football anymore just 4213 and send the wingers on a whole jorney 97 times a game and cut it back for an open goal. 20 games of champs (qualis and finals) and I played against 18 4213, 1 4411 and 1 41212 narrow. 16 of them just spammed through balls down the wing the whole ass game. I get that the gameplay is horrible but really, the same thing every game?

not every evo is doable on beginner and it’s generally faster I see no harm in it, now the people that just choose a random card that isn’t and evo and doesn’t help in rush points, those I hate.

99 passing, best passing playstyles on gold, gave him CDM and deep lying playmaker ++ plus he is always good ingame so yeah, but he’ll prolly drop a bunch

I’m sorry but can EA stop turning everyone into a defensive midfileder please. Gave out a free zidane that is broken defensively, turned guti (A Playmaker) into a defensive midfielder and now they give wingers 70+ in most defensive stats and they just become defensive wingers (nwaneri is a prime example ) can intercept like a prime kante and tackle like a prime lucio

either they give a CB anticipate and intercept, a CDM intercept and pinged pass, or the give a LW Quickstep Trivela and Pinged pass, something along those lines

anticipate needs a **** nerf man. I totally get the tackling boost but for the love of christ, how the **** is it ok for a player to start a tackle inside the box and he finishes the tackle outside of the box, damn near teleporting, just because he has a racoon up his ass.

you can’t even have fun anymore in the game. I found some insanely fun attacking football tactics but what’s the point to use them if I play against a 4213 95 depth that doesn’t even let me breathe and has 7 players defending in the box. Want to use fun evolutions ? Nah even if they have 99 in every stat and every playstyle corresponding to the position, the will feel like ass. But don’t worry cause you can evo base saliba with any random evo that might not even boost his defending stats and watch him maul your whole attack alive.

90% of the games right now. You think you managed to break it down and randomly their CB tears every muscle in their leg to intercept something from the other side of the pitch

while in the premier league last season the average interceptions per game were in a range from 6 to 8, in this game defenders average 7-9 interceptions individually because of the stupid ass broken defensive AI that EA refuses to balance

loving this gameplay right now. It’s so fun how my defenders can have the ball infront of them and still miss the tackle. It’s so fun when my opponents attackers intercept every single pass. It’s so fun when everyone feels like they are stuck in mud. Game feels amazing right now IlY EA thanks for making the best fifa game ever <3

anyone has some fun tactics? No 4213, 4411 or 451. Since the gameolay is so atrocious i might as well fight some tactics that makes the game atleast 2% more enjoyable while being different

The discrepancies in this game are something else man, you are telling me that my opponent and I use the same card, on the same role, same chemistry, same chemistry style, same formation and it’s always the same, 1 plays amazing and the other one is useless. Mostly happens with goalkeepers but sometimes defenders and attackers. I was playing against someone a bit ago, we both had evolution mia hamm, my mia hamm missed sitters in front of goal (green timed) while his scored every chance she had and she even intercepted 7 passes, straight bullshit.
