There’s just no point to do that. He’s fully a defensive stay back cdm and he is amazing in that role. He has quite average passing and poor shooting so there’s no point to play him in any kind of an offensive role not even box to box. Also 3*3* is not good for a box to box. Pair him up with like a Bellingham or a Marchisio and he’s gonna perform really well.
