For auto defending, VVD is surely the king. So difficult to get past. I find a problem when switching to him. IDK if he's halfway through a big animation, but it always seems to take too long and by the time he's active, the ball is gone. I prefer Maldini and Cannavaro, with whom I don't have that problem.

Laudrup WW is brilliant. Hundreds of games for me at RB, using engine chem. He defends well, is great on the ball and a real threat in attack.

This sounds mental but I've got Laudrup, WW, at RB, with engine, and I can't imagine Cafu displacing him. Laudrup has better stats and the crossing play style plus.

Yeah, the combo of both. L1 to make a tight turn away from a defender and R1 to burst past.

Feels far more solid than Lloris did. Still prone to errors but up there with the best I've played with on 24. Does a great job of making himself big.

Lloris feels like a ghost much of the time. Unless you bring the keeper out a lot, definitely not Lloris.

I've got him on hunter and find him excellent. Slower build up, with explosive bursts of acceleration in the final third.

Depends what fodder you're starting with, how much money you have, how good your rewards are, etc.
