The Best Bruiser Wingback Evolutions

Wednesday night saw the addition of two new Evolutions in Ultimate Team, Pacey Winger and Bruiser Wing Back. Last week we looked at Pacey Winger, so today we’ll delve into the free Evolution, Bruiser Wingback. It does what it says on the tin, gives a huge boost to defensive and physical attributes. Any player who fits the criteria will get a huge +10 Defending and Physical! You can find all the requirements and eligible players here!

This is a free Evolution but as with all, this can only be completed once so be careful with your choice! We’ve picked out 10 of our favourites players we think would be a great fit for this Evo!

Carlos Akapo - SJ Earthquakes 

Hear us out on this one, the links may not be great but the final Evo is unreal. 86 Pace, 82 Defending and 84 Physical is a really nice upgrade and despite the lack of links, does actually provide one to Messi! Akapo is for sure one of the better options in terms of stats but Equatorial Guinea obviously doesn’t provide the best Chemistry. 

DeAndre Yedlin - Inter Miami 

Speaking of Messi links, next on our list is his club captain, DeAndre Yedlin. His defending may be on the lower end but his Pace sits near enough at the max requirement meaning you won’t find many Bruiser Wingbacks that are faster than him. Only comes out at a 79 but is still a very solid card. 

Inigo Lekue - Athletic Bilbao

Our first entry from the Top 5 Leagues is Inigo Lekue, a Spanish full back from Athletic Bilbao. He’s definitely one of the most well rounded cards you can complete, with only one stat below 70 and very solid Pace and Physical. He offers great links and can play on either side of defence, definitely a good choice if you’re running La Liga.

Max Aarons - Bournemouth 

Max Aarons is for sure up there with the best options you can choose and I’d arguably have him Top 3, the Physical boost takes him all the way up to 85 with 84 Pace, and also has very good Defending. Just like with Lekue, the links are brilliant, English and Premier League means you can very easily fit him into your team. 

Valentin Gendry - Lecce

We can already tell Gendry is one of the most popular choices here as he’s currently extinct at 10,000 coins. French players in the Serie A are always nice to come by as they not only offer good links inside of their league, but even better outside of it. France have some of the most meta players on the game meaning it shouldn’t be hard to fit Gendrey into your squad. 84 Pace and 85 Physical is a great option for your Serie A right back slot.

Wilson Manafa - Granada

FIFA 22 fan favourite Wilson Manafa is back with another brilliant special card and he fits perfectly in the Bruiser Wingback Evolution! He’s no longer in the Portuguese league which actually makes him even easier to link. His tackling stats are both in the 80s and combined with high agility and balance, his card is certainly one to consider.

Rico Lewis - Manchester City 

Rico’s card stats may not look as impressive as some of the other options but he does have one very important addition to his card - a CDM alternate position. Not only does this help for squad building, but also will be eligible for a future CDM evolution which will make his card even better!

Timothy Weah - Juventus

Timothy Weah is absolutely the best option for this Evolution if you can get your hands on him. He’s currently extinct at 10,000 coins and there are a lot of people after him. He can operate on both sides of defence and all the way up the right hand side. We’re severely lacking in Serie A right backs, so if that’s your set up, then Tim Weah might be the one!
