FC 24 Future Stars Claudia Pina Player Review - Cop or Flop

Future Stars is finally here and typically this is one of the first few “Big” promos to come following Team of the Year that the community is pretty hyped for. So in EA Sports FC, will this follow suit?

We’re off to a pretty good start as everyone has been gifted a pack containing Future Stars Academy pack with 9 players that we can choose from to put into an incredible Evo. Alongside of course you have the Future Stars team. I’ll be honest and may be going against the grain here, but this team doesn’t wow me so much. But in the SBC section however we have a very nice looking Coloda Pina.

The great thing about Future Stars is seeing some massive upgrades on cards that we wouldn’t normally use and Claudia has just that. A very nice +7 overall stat with the gift of 2 Playstyle Pluses in the ever favourite Finesse Shot and the Incisive Pass. Within the stat upgrades she’s had a staggering +13 to Pace as well as +6-8s to the rest of the stats. This card looks unreal.

Pina slots right in the centre of the squad as she works her magic to the likes of fellow teammate, TOTY Hansen who is joined by Mbappe and George Best. What I felt would work really well with this card is utilising her as a high CAM with two strong midfielders either side to block off any attacks.

For Chemstyle here, you definitely want to put a boost on the pace as despite the heavy upgrade there already, it’s still not quite enough. I opted for the engine as I felt it also gave a nice boost to the passing and dribbling as well, and I wasn’t expecting to be making long runs with this card so just a slight boost to pace is all that you need. Alternatively however you could run the Hunter Chemstyle.

This SBC is actually incredibly well priced. Coming in at just slightly over 200k this SBC is looking to be a banger. Most notably, no informs required in this SBC also which lately seems to be a rarity. It’s worth mentioning with the price that at the moment player prices are slightly inflated, this may change after weekend league when people open packs but feel it is worth noting.

How did she perform in-game?

+ Shooting, specifically the Finesse shot, was incredible. Due to the playstyle+ she did not miss her mark.

+ Dribbling felt really good too due to the high balance and agility. She was able to manouver past defenders with ease.

+ Passing on this card was also great, if you utilise the incisive pass alongside some fast attackers you’re in for a treat.

+ Positioning is nice on this card as well. She pushed up with attack constantly, opening up many chances for assisting and scoring some great goals.

/ Despite having “low” pace she didn’t actually feel too slow once you have applied the right chemistry style. However for a midfielder this isn’t a huge problem and not something I would be worried about.

- Physical in general isn’t amazing and I feel this is due to the fact she is 5”5 in height. She gets forced off the ball pretty easily which will let you down if you aren’t good at dribbling.

Pina - Cop or Flop?

All in all this was a really fun card to use and what was a nice change was not having to complete a bunch of segments for a player. It’s nice to have something short and sweet to complete that’s not going to take up too much time to grind/ complete. 

She’s plays incredibly in-game and think with the addition to the popular Athenea Evo card, we may be seeing a lot of these two in other players’ teams. If you like Pina Colodas and getting caught in the rain, then this is an SBC for you.
