FC 24 Serie A Team of The Season Predictions

With dominance in Italy returning to Milan it comes as no surprise that ten of the eighteen players come from there. With three moments inclusions now confirmed I would expect the usual stars to feature one way or another with a very strong squad looking likely.

Yann Sommer - GK - 84 > 92 OVR

Yann Sommer has proved to be a steal from Inter. While Onana was great for them with the Italian side receiving 50 million and replacing him with Sommer for a mere 6 million it was a superb piece of business for them. The Swiss international has arguably been better with just 18 domestic goals conceded while obtaining the highest save percentage in the division. A no-brainer for TOTS.

Theo Hernandez - LB - 85 > 95 OVR

While you could argue for a different LB in the starting line-up, who also features in this side, Hernandez is one player everyone will be excited for thus making it beneficial for EA to include him as a headlining player. His inclusion isn’t based on that fact however as the Frenchman has been superb throughout. You only have to see that the LB has received three IFs and a TOTY inclusion to blindly include him. A constant threat down the left and with five goals and three assists he is an easy inclusion.

Alessandro Bastoni- CB - 85 > 94 OVR

While Bastoni has received interest from numerous clubs during the past couple of seasons he is seemingly happy at Inter. With the Italian outlet convincingly winning Serie A this season and performing well consistently why would he want to leave either? While Acerbi is approaching the end of his career Bastoni could easily be their main man at the back for the next ten or so years. His performances this season have been as consistent as ever and should slot in with ease.

Alessandro Buongiorno - CB - 77 > 93 OVR

While you could argue this is a tad rogue with the likes of both Bremer and Danilo performing well at Juventus. Buongiorno has shone within a defensively stable Torino side. Despite finding themselves in midtable they have the joint most clean sheets in the division and have only conceded 29 times. Buongiorno’s performances have attracted interest from a shedload of sides and I highly doubt he will remain at Torino for next season which will be a huge loss for them.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo - RB - 85 > 92 OVR

After a Serie A title win in 2023 things couldn’t have gone worse for Napoli this season (relegation aside), they’ve dropped right down to mid-table and currently sit 9th. Captain Di Lorenzo has been a bright spark and contributed to 7 goals from right back, with only 2 defenders in the league sitting on more.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - LW - 86 > 93 OVR

While Napoli have been poor this season I can still find room for Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian superstar was rather underwhelming in the first half of the season but his performances have returned for the second half. With ten goals and six assists to his name, he has shown why there was so much hype surrounding him last season. Even if he does narrowly miss out I would expect a moment item. So one way or another we will likely see him included.

Hakan Calhanoglu - CM - 85 > 94 OVR

Calhanoglu has always shown glimpses of brilliance but has often failed to consistently provide them. His performances in the middle of the park for Inter this season however have reached heights not expected of the Turk. With eleven goals to his name, he is eighth in the scoring charts, which for a CM is something else.

Nicolo Barella - CM - 86 > 94 OVR

Barella’s importance to this Inter side shouldn’t be understated with the Italian being at the heart of the side. While on pure statistics Barella does not match up with previous campaigns there is so much more to his game than purely goals and assists. Barella should be included in this side,

Christian Pulisic - RW - 79 > 93 OVR

Chelsea made a 43 million loss with Pulisic after he failed to perform for the Premier League club. What will be even more frustrating for them however is that the American is now putting in some sublime displays for AC Milan. With ten goals and six assists from primarily the RW I would expect to see Pulisic in the Serie A TOTS.

Dusan Vlahovic - ST - 83 > 93 OVR

While Juventus have lost their dominance in the division they remain towards the top, it looks like a third-placed finish for the Old Lady this season, which they will be underwhelmed with but at least they remain competitive. Vlahovic has been their main source of goals, scoring sixteen for the campaign.

Lautaro Martinez - ST - 87 > 95 OVR

Inter Milan have dominated Serie A this season, following up on the Champions League final they managed last year. Martinez has continued to regularly bag goals with the Argentine being the league's leading goalscorer by quite some distance, a total of twenty-three thus far.

Substitutes

Federico Dimarco - LWB - 82 > 94 OVR

The briefly mentioned other LB is of course Dimarco. Inter have excelled defensively with their lack of conceded goals making them extremely difficult to beat. Dimarco also helps on the offensive side of their game with five goals and six assists from that attacking LWB role. Much like Hernandez, Dimarco has also received three IF’s this game.

Teun Koopmeiners - CAM - 80 > 91 OVR

Atalanta have a couple of games in hand and thus have an outside shot of snatching the fifth position. Koopmeiners has been a constant threat for them with eleven goals and four assists. While there are many options for this position I simply cannot ignore the Dutchman.

Paulo Dybala - CF - 86 > 94 OVR

Dybala has played numerous positions for Roma this season and has looked back at his best throughout whether that's up top, from the right or behind the striker. Following the trend of the majority of his special items I would expect the TOTS to come as a CF. The Argentine has managed twelve goals and nine assists in total putting him right up there in overall attacking contributions.

Olivier Giroud - ST - 82 > 91 OVR

Giroud is now 37 years of age but the Frenchman is still able to compete at the highest level. With thirteen goals and eight assists for AC Milan this season he is among the highest overall goal contributors. How long will Giroud manage to keep his level going only time will tell but it looks as though he is on his way to a first-ever TOTS inclusion

Adrien Rabiot - CM - 84 > 93 OVR

For the moments within this side, I have opted for one from each of the “big three” sides outside of Inter. All three have shouts for an actual inclusion but all narrowly miss out for me. Rabiot is the first who, especially during the first half of the season, was dominant in the middle of the park for Juventus. Several other European sides have been monitoring his situation throughout the season but Juventus will want to hold onto the Frenchman after he has become one of their main players this season.

Rafael Leao - LW - 86 > 95 OVR

EA have made it clear that the route they want to go with these moment cards is to include big players who miss out for one reason or another. Leao and Kvaratskhelia could easily switch around in this prediction but I believe one will be in the main squad and the other will be a moment's inclusion. Both have had strong campaigns and both deserve an inclusion in truth.

Victor Osimhen - ST - 88 > 95 OVR

While I don’t feel that Osimhen has done enough for a direct entry into this side on performance EA will likely opt for the Nigerian as a moment's inclusion. With 13 goals to his name, Osimhen has not performed badly but with an underwhelming Napoli season, it’s likely the performance-based inclusions go elsewhere.
