Week number two of the “Make Your Mark” promo and the first week of the Euros has now come to a close. But this is just the beginning with promise for much more content to come. I feel like we are only just getting started.

A bunch of great new players today but my eyes are firmly on the SBC section as a brand new Darwin Nunez card has just dropped and boy, say hello to what looks to be the best striker on the game. This card looks to have it all. But how will he perform in-game?

You can check out the card here!

Straight into the squad used last week for the previous weeks’ SBC in Xavi Simons. Nunez leads the front ready to absolutely abuse that Finesse and Power Shot+. Alongside these playstyles we also have the Rapid and Press Proven playstyle. Not a mix you typically see but I feel this could be the perfect blend for the perfect striker.

Additionally this card has also received a weak foot boost from the previous RTTF card as well as a +6 overall with the majority of this boost going into his dribbling.

Chemstyle of choice for me here is the Hawk to boost the Pace, shooting and Physical stats but I was temped by the Hunter just to absolutely max out the Pace and Shooting.

Here are the following segments to unlock the Make Your Mark Darwin Nunez SBC:

Premier League

To complete this SBC will cost you just over 600k worth of fodder. Not a cheap SBC for this stage of the game but for an SBC of this calibre you would expect a premium price and personally I don’t think it’s awful considering how easy it is to get high rated fodder.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Shooting is easily the best feature of this card. Being able to utilise both finesse and power shot meant he easily fed goals to his team.

+ Dribbling the next impressive stat as he was incredibly agile on the ball and played around defenders really well.

+ Pace was also decent on this card as mixed in with the rapid playstyle, he could move forward at top speed.

+ Positioning on this card felt near perfect as he always found himself into an open position to quickly receive the ball and run with it. He also utilised counter attacks really well because of this.

+ Strength also felt great, which may have been helped with the Press Proven playstlye. It seemed impossible for defenders to get the ball from his feet.

Darwin Nunez - Cop or Flop?

At the beginning I said this might be the best striker in the game. Do I still feel this same way now? Mostly. This is a fantastic striker and I have no doubt whatsoever that you will very likely be seeing a lot of this card in peoples teams. There really isn’t anything negative to say about this card at all. He performed incredibly as a striker AND he has the possibility to receive some additional upgrades.

It would be hard to say that he is definitively THE best striker in the game, but he’s certainly in the running for it. Get this card ASAP.

Verdict = COP
