Team 4 of Shapeshifters is here and with it comes a fairly nice batch of cards. Another two players in the game with 5 playstyle pluses in Rio Ferdinand and Cantona. Doku and Guler also come in with some great-looking Striker cards and of course, another team of Women’s Path to Glory items are here.
Looking to the SBC section for today, and we have quite the step up in cards from previous releases because we have an Eberechi Eze Shapeshifter item, and he looks incredible. Eze, again similar to Gundogan from yesterday’s release, does not have many special cards, so a big jump up from his previous Seasonal card from earlier this year.
A +7 overall boost with 4 playstyle pluses in Finesse, Technical, Rapid, and Low Driven. He’s of course also got 99 pace so you know this guy is going to be fast. This however, doesn’t feel like a massive “Shapeshift” because he’s been moved from a CAM/LM to a LW/RW/ST card, and honestly, I’m here for it because this card at Striker looks very good.
I’ve gone with the Marksman chemstyle here to max out his Shooting and Dribbling to match the already maxed-out pace.

This SBC comes with 6 segments in total as a requirement in order to unlock the Shapeshifters Eze item and honestly, I don’t hate it. The price tag is coming in at around 285k but for the caliber of player we look to be getting, I think this is a pretty sweet deal.
How did he perform in-game?
+ Let’s start with the obvious. His Pace is ridiculous and might have him down to be one of the fastest cards in the game. Any player with 99 pace and either of the running playstyles feels like cheating.
+ He has both Finesse and Low Driven plus, so you know he is more than capable of scoring goals and plenty of them. But outside of this, his finishing was fantastic. He rarely misses his shot and has the ability to score goals from distance due to his high shot power.
+ Dribbling was up there with the most impressive thing about this card though. He was silky smooth on the ball and controlled it with style.
+ He is also a very capable passer. His crosses weren’t much to talk about but short passes and through balls were where he shone.
+ Positionally as a striker he was perfect. He constantly found gaps in the opposing defence to begin an early run through and take advantage of. Leading to easy goals.
- The only downside to this card is his “low” strength. He does struggle against the elite defenders. He won’t win those physical battles, but he sure can dribble his way out of them.
Eze - Cop or Flop?
It’s important to remember that Futties is only around the corner. If history is anything to go by, we know to expect a lot of Endgame SBCs with the promo. But this card, whilst maybe not an Endgame card, is very much on the brink of being one. I personally would recommend playing him at Striker rather than on the wing, but it certainly helps to have the versatility. He’s absolutely lethal in front of goal and a real challenge for players to keep up with.
This SBC isn’t a bank breaker and I'm fairly certain he would be a big improvement on many of your squads. So if you have the facilities for it, I would absolutely recommend completing this SBC.
Verdict = COP
