Sugar.. Oh Mane-Mane. His SBC is here and boy am I excited to get my hands on this card! EA have dropped a Premium Futties Mane card as an SBC today and this card looks incredible. Notably, only 3 segments on this SBC so already, this is looking promising! On a side note however, keep your eyes peeled for content from us as the brand new FC25 Ultimate Team trailer drops tomorrow! We’ll be covering every bit of news that comes out of it so you won’t miss a single thing. I sure am looking forward to seeing what new features are coming this year, duplicate storage is a big one for me that is going to be a huge gamechanger.

But back to Sadio! Mane see’s an upgrade of a +3 from his FUT Birthday item with some decent upgrades to his shooting and passing. Of course the main upgrade we are here to see is the two extra playstyle+s. Powershot has been replaced by the ever required Finesse which is a huge positive for this item. Alongside Finesse+ comes Relentless, Quickstep and Trickster. Mane has always been one of those players that I struggle to get on with as much as a majority of the playerbase do. He always looks incredible but never one to settle in my squad, so i’m hoping this Mane card will break that cycle.

Mane leads the front alongside Futties Al Owairan and Greats of the Game Rooney. I initially wanted to use Mane more as a winger but I figured this card looks great to just ping the ball upfront and have him outrun everybody. So why not stick him right in the center? But of course, if you would prefer it, he can also play CF, LW & LM.

For Chemstyle here, if like me you are going with him at Striker, then a Marksman is absolutely best. Likewise Maestro works really well here too if you want to max out the shooting and dribbling. But as i’ve mentioned before, at this stage of the game the stats feel a little irrelevant. So just stick him upfront and let him cook.

A really nice change from the 32 segments we got with Futties Eto. Only 3 segments required here and honestly even if this was just 3 90 rated squads i’d have no issue whatsoever. But these are 3 nice and easy SBCs to complete that even after just opening a few exchange packs you should have no issue completing. Failing that, he’s only costing 185k to complete. So incredibly cheap too.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Pace on this card was sublime. He was so incredibly rapid and possessed that ability to make the quick burst of pace to leave the opposition behind.

+ Shooting was also really nice, oddly I wasn’t a huge fan of finesses on this card despite having the playstyle+ but he could certainly score some cracking goals.

+ Dribbling was very good on this card. Incredibly agile and handled the ball with flair. I do wish he had Technical+ as I feel that would complete the dribbling but he was still very impressive on the ball.

+ Attacking Positioning on Mane was also really good, always making runs ready for the midfield to provide him an easy goal.

/ Strength was a little low and he could get knocked off the ball when facing a strong defender, but it was a rare occurrence and not something I feel is a problem. 

Mane - Cop or Flop?

Regardless of performance, this is a cheap and easy SBC to complete. On that feat alone, this is an absolute Cop. But he also does perform really well in-game. He’s not the elite endgame card but he’s an incredibly effective item to use and have fun with. Plus he’s a Premium Futties card, so he slots straight into squads with no issue whatsoever. An easy Cop from me!
