Another international break results in UEFA Nations League and AFCON matches taking the majority of spots in a rather underwhelming side. Headlining, we have Putellas, Hakimi, Shaw, and Guirassy
Predrag Rajkovic - GK - 78 > 82 OVR
Four saves, pen save and clean sheet / Serbia 2 - Switzerland 0 / 8 Sofascore Rating
Continuing with the theme of penalty-saving keepers, Predrag accomplished the feat this week, with the Serbian stopping Embolo from twelve yards. International weeks are often the hardest to select keepers from, but in this case, it seems straightforward.
Achraf Hakimi - RB - 84 > 86 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Morocco 5 - CAR 0 / 8.2 Sofascore Rating
There were a couple of lower-rated options that could have received the nod from EA for this match, but with a lack of defensive options and few standout players, Hakimi offers EA a strong selling point for packs. With a goal and a clean sheet, he is also among the best choices, making it a realistic option.
Philipp Lienhart - CB - 79 > 82 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Austria 4 - Kazakhstan 0 / 8.5 Sofascore Rating
Lienhart was involved in both of Austria’s wins this week, scoring from defence in each. I was torn between Lienhart and Baumgartner for their first match, but after Lienhart scored again in their second fixture, it's hard to overlook him.
Celin Bizet - RB - 76 > 84 OVR
Two assists and clean sheet / Man United (W) 3 - Tottenham (W) 0 / 7.5 Sofascore Rating
Playing against her old club Bizet occupied an unusual RB role but the decision made off with Bizet providing two assists. With her NIF being RW or ST Bizet offers an attacking option and with a featured upgrade becomes very usable.
Leandro Trossard - LW - 83 > 85 OVR
One goal, one assist / Italy 2 - Belgium 2 / 7.9 Sofascore Rating
With Belgium falling two goals behind away at Italy it looked set to be a difficult match. Trossard inspired a comeback with both a goal and an assist allowing them to come away from the match with a point. With the Belgian being a popular evo item you may want to look away if you recently evolved him.
Franck Yannick Kessie - CM - 82 > 84 OVR
Two goals / Ivory Coast 4 - Sierra Leonne 1 / 8.6 Sofascore Rating
I have already highlighted the favouritism towards the Saudi League so far this game, and with foundations now being released, that will only increase the demand. Kessié offers EA a strong route into the division during the international break, with the Ivorian midfielder scoring twice in their 4-1 home win
Alexia Putellas - CM - 90 > 91 OVR
Two goals, one assist / Barcelona (W) 7 - Espanyol (W) 1 / 9.6 Sofascore Rating
Another week, another heavy Barcelona win, this time a 7-1 home victory over Espanyol. Pajor scored a hat-trick again, but with her featuring just two weeks ago, we turn to Putellas. With her NIF already costing 500k, I dread to think how expensive this IF will be
Amaiur Sarriegi - RW - 81 > 84 OVR
Two goals / Sociedad (W) 4 - Betis (W) 0 / 9 Sofascore Rating
Last week made it clear that EA wants to include a few female options each week, with several seemingly forced into the lineup. With that in mind, Sarriegi should be a strong candidate heading into TOTW 5. The Spaniard scored twice as Sociedad recorded a 4-0 home win over Betis.
Khadija Shaw - ST - 86 > 87 OVR
Two goals / Liverpool (W) 1 - Man City (W) 2 / 7.5 Sofascore Rating
City nearly dropped more points early on, with Liverpool taking the lead over the reigning champions. Shaw's double helped turn things around, with the winner coming in the 92nd minute. A high-rated option that EA could utilise
Serhou Guirassy - ST - 84 > 86 OVR
Hat trick / Guinea 4 - Ethiopia 1 / 9.7 Sofascore Rating
Guinea picked up their first points in qualification during a must-win match against Ethiopia. Guirassy caused most of the problems, scoring three of their four goals in a 4-1 victory. One of the easiest selections of the week.
Deniz Undav - ST - 81 > 84 OVR
Two goals / Bosnia 1 - Germany 2 / 1.5 Kicker Rating
Despite not having an out-and-out goalscorer since Klose, Germany have continued to find success with whoever fills the role, whether it's Füllkrug, Havertz, or Undav. It was Undav’s time to shine during their match against Bosnia, where he scored both goals in a 2-1 win.
Substitutes
Radu Dragusin - CB - 75 > 81 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Cyprus 0 - Romania 5 / 7.6 Sofascore Rating
Dragusin did not receive the highest of match ratings but with a significantly smaller pool than usual to choose from this week those with a goal and clean sheet from defence always stand a strong chance of making the side. Dragusin falls into that category after scoring one of Romania’s three.
Faustine Robert - RM - 80 > 83 OVR
One goal, two assists / Fleury (W) 4 - Guingamp (W) 1 / 9.8 Sofacscore Rating
The fourth and final female player making my side this week is Robert. Involved in three of Fleury’s four goals, she was highly influential during the 4-1 win. She was among the highest-rated players of the week and adds another attacking option to your D1 Arkema sides.
Matteo Guendouzi - CM - 80 > 83 OVR
One goal, one assist / Israel 1 - France 4 / 8.6 Sofascore Rating
Guendouzi didn't come on until the 77th minute, but with the score at only 2-1, his impact was crucial. Providing both a goal and an assist, he helped France secure all three points away at Israel
Said Benrahma- LM - 78 > 82 OVR
Two goals / Algeria 5 - Togo 1 / MOTM
Benrahma has consistently received usable cards in FIFA over the past three games. His EAFC 25 version could be on the horizon after he scored twice for Algeria in a comfortable 5-1 home win. Algeria are now three for three, sitting five points ahead of second place.
Nahki Wells - RM - 68 > 80 OVR
Three goals, one assist / Dominica 1 - Bermuda 6 / 10 Sofascore Rating
We could see one or two silver or bronze options seep onto the bench this week due to limited overall choices. Wells should be guaranteed a spot one way or another after being involved in four goals from RM during a convincing Bermuda win.
Alexander Sorloth - ST - 82 > 84 OVR
One goal, one assist / Norway 3 - Slovenia 0 / 8.5 Sofascore Rating
We saw Thuram’s hat trick ignored last week due to the recent POTM announcement, so I expect similar treatment for Haaland this time around. Sørloth could potentially make it instead, though, after providing both a goal and an assist during their win over Slovenia
Vangelis Pavlidis - ST - 80 > 83 OVR
Two goals / England 1 - Greece 2 / 8.4 Sofascore Rating
Greece shocked England on Thursday, securing a 2-1 away win. The match was quite comfortable for the visitors, who also had several goals ruled out. Pavlidis scored both the ones that stood, including a last-minute winner.
Reserves
Guillermo Viscarra - GK - 72 > 80 OVR
Nine saves and clean sheet / Bolivia 1 - Colombia 0 / 9.2 Sofascore Rating
Robbie Brady - LB - 67 > 80 OVR
One goal, one assist / Finland 1 - Ireland 2 / 8.5 Sofascore Rating
Miguel Araujo - CB - 65 > 80 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Peru 1 - Uruguay 0 / 7.8 Sofascore Rating
Alexandru Matan - CAM - 68 > 80 OVR
Hat trick / Columbus 4 - New England 0 / 9.3 Sofascore Rating
Mathew Stevens - ST - 64 > 80 OVR
Hat trick / Wimbledon 4 - Carlisle 0 / 9.6 Sofascore Rating
