The first Showdown SBC of FC 25 is here. To kick Showdowns off this year we’ve got a matchup between newly managerless Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford

Representing each club via the Showdown SBCs are Manuel Ugarte for Manchester United and Moises Caicedo for Chelsea.

Both cards have the potential of a +2 upgrade so we’re going to have a quick run through of each item and how we think the game will play out.

Is the Manuel Ugarte SBC Worth It?

The Ugarte SBC is coming in at just under 50,000 coins, the same price as Caicedo. There’s definitely better cards out there, just looking at the Foundations Sissoko as one, but it’s cheap enough to complete. If United get the job done he’ll be a very tidy PL midfield option.

Is the Caicedo SBC Worth It?

Caicedo is coming in at the exact same price as Ugarte, meaning there’s no real favourite here. He’s got a very similar card to Ugarte with the Roles and Role ++’s being the biggest separator. 

Manchester United vs Chelsea Info and Predictions

This game kicks off on Sunday 3rd November at 16:30 UK, Old Trafford, Manchester.

If Erik ten Hag was still in charge of Manchester United we’d be leaning very heavily towards Caicedo, but as he famously said… Eras come to an end. Could the ‘new manager bounce’ push them to the three points and only their 4th win in the Premier League? 

Chelsea have really turned it around since last season, with their only two losses this season coming against Manchester City and Liverpool. Cole Palmer and Nico Jackson are killing it so far with 21 Goals and Assists between them. 

As we said, if this was during Ten Hag’s reign then we’d be backing Chelsea all the way, but we very well might see a rejuvenated Manchester United under Ruud van Nistelrooy. Honestly I think United might just take it, players will have a point to prove and will need to fight for their place under Ruben Amorim.

But if Chelsea do take it, Sancho is 100% scoring the winner.
