FC 25 88 FC Pro Live Benzema Player Review

While there might have been some migration to Black Ops 6 after the most recent patch, it was a different form of sniper required on Friday evening to try and get our hands on the new FC Pro Live promo cards.  Up against an impossible task with the majority of the quality cards extinct we were lucky enough to get our hands on a card of interest in the form of a loan… Karim The Dream Benzema.

The Finesse Shot is king once again and with the right card you can truly reign over your opponents… The hope for this review was Benzema’s own ascension to the Weekend League crown as the grind for João Félix kicked off.  The more I looked at the statistics with Benzema it was clear that there was real potential and would just come down to the feel and movement of the card as to whether or not it would be a successful trial.

Slightly more narrow 4-1-2-1-2(2) this weekend as I continue to fight for the perfect formation for my style in this version of the rebound simulator.  Obviously Benzema would take his place at striker alongside Núñez, but the Chemistry Style did take a minute to sort out.  In the end it was the simplicity of Pace and Shooting from the HUNTER that won out and was applied to Benzema for that added pop in and around the box.  With everything set it was the hope that Benzema could lead the line and lead the team all weekend long in the following squad:

Rating: 9/10

Anytime you start off a review scoring on the very first shot, which then leads to a four goal performance, things generally go good throughout.  This was certainly the case for Benzema’s debut in the squad and his general performances from match to match as proven by his 18 goal contributions.  Having the FINESSE SHOT Plus operating at this level is a huge bonus for a variety of reasons… Of course watching them fly into the top bins from a distance is a plus, but it also forces opponents to come out and defend while also over-committing to the strong side of your forward… The amount of goals created from that alone was vital in key matches.

Main Statistics – Shooting

Weak Foot: ★★★★

Shooting Rating: 9.5/10

PlayStyles: Finesse Shot Plus, Trivela

I mentioned earlier some of the extinct cards that looked interesting and right at the top of that list was Gabriel Jesus , but the more I looked the more I did not like the single Shooting PlayStyle and ended up extremely fortunate to get Benzema on loan instead.  Throughout the review it was a constant bail out to find Benzema at the end of a passing play knowing that he would find the back of the net.

The HUNTER Chemistry Style over the HAWK felt more and more like a good decision as the 98 FINISHING & 94 SHOT POWER felt on point and a constant source of goals.  The FINESSE SHOT has been brought up a few times but worth noting that it is basically just as lethal on the left foot even with the less than perfect 4 STAR WEAK FOOT.  In fact there was never a moment throughout this review that it did not feel like Benzema didn’t have a 5 STAR WEAK FOOT.  The 9.5/10 in this case is my normal trend of not giving a non-5 STAR player a perfect 10, but truthfully this card is as good as it gets when it comes to finishing.

Value/Coins

Value/Coins: 5/5

Just as I am wrapping up this review the update to Benzema’s price range has dropped and currently he sits at 415k.  If we speculate that he drops below this in the end, which is more likely than anything, then this is going to be incredible value.  When you consider the live aspect of the card and the current qualities I don’t see anything wrong with spending the coins to get Benzema into your squads.  There are more qualities than just the Shooting but for the goals alone he is worth it.

Good vs. Bad

Good vs Bad Rating: 5/5

Lots to discuss and it was seriously all quite good…

+ The Pace and Dribbling on this card were a fantastic mix and given the fact that Pace does not kill in this game, Benzema has more than adequate speed to thrive up top.  The 90 ACCELERATION & 91 SPRINT SPEED do not feel blistering, but who does with VVD charging behind them in this game?  However, it was the 84 AGILITY, 82 BALANCE & 87 DRIBBLING that stood out as they overperformed consistently throughout the review.  The TECHNICAL & FIRST TOUCH PlayStyles are perfect additions as well.

+ The Passing was equally as impressive and despite only 2 assists it was the build up play that flowed so flawlessly through Benzema… The INCISIVE PASS is clutch when combined to the 88 SHORT PASSING and made connecting with surrounding players quite simple.

+ Even the Physical side of Benzema’s game stood out as his wider frame and 84 STRENGTH made keeping the ball against close marking defenders considerably easier than with Núñez.  The 84 STAMINA and RELENTLESS are a nice touch for pressing as well and even into extra time he brought the energy in the squad.

Closing Words

The fate of Benzema’s upgrades rest in the capable hands of AboFawzi, who has risen in rank lately but not put it all together at pro level.  However, if the Twisted Minds pro does manage to secure some victories and move on, this card is going to be seriously dangerous, because he already is.  I do think I missed a bit of trick not playing Benzema as the False 9 given his Role ++,  it would have set up for even more finesse opportunities as well, but in the end I feel too tied to the Advanced Forward and of course still benefited from the Role + throughout.  However you choose to deploy Benzema you can expect power and goals and certainly a card I would recommend moving forward in your own squads.

Hoping you are well.  Cheers for reading.
