DeanWe have a brand new promo among us and it comes by the name of the “UEFA Dreamchasers”. This promo is themed around the four prestigious UEFA competitions: Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and the Women’s Champions League. This promo features an elite team of Dreamchaser items along with also the Road to the Final items which will be based on the previously mentioned four competitions. An Mbappe card is yet again on the loose and of course it looks absolutely insane.
SBCs have been hit with a double whammy of monster-looking cards. We have a Dreamchasers Dembele which looks simply incredible. We also have ourselves a Dreamchasers Icon Gullit SBC. So we’re starting this promo off with an absolute bang. This Gullit card brings with him the return of 3 playstyle pluses which honestly I thought we might be waiting a while for, but i’m not complaining!
This Gullit item is a +1 on his Thunderstruck version of course this one as mentioned comes with two more playstyle pluses in the form of Pinged Pass and Aerial. He is a few defensive stats off being a 90 club card which at this stage of the game is crazy to see. For roles he now also comes with the Holding++ for CDM & CM positions along with Box-to-Box for the CM position.
The chem style is pretty tough to choose from here, personally I would say the Shadow is the best bet as it’ll give a big boost to pace along with bringing the Defending above 90 but likewise, the Engine, Gladiator, or Anchor would work wonders

An absolute whipping 23 segments in total to complete this Gullit SBC with a shocking 86-Rated Squad & TOTW player required just to get the loan. I think it’s fair to say we all knew a Gullit SBC like this would cost an arm and a leg but the price of this SBC is coming in just shy of 5 million coins to complete. Despite the 3 playstyle pluses this one certainly will be a tough sell considering the Thunderstruck item is just over a quarter of the price of this.
How did he perform in-game?
+ Physicality is something you consistently see in Gullit cards across every game cycle and this item is no different. He’s a brute on the ball and a real challenge for the opposition to dispossess.
+ Pace was nice for a midfielder. He moved quickly on the ball for someone with his body type.
+ Shooting was also impressive as he has a real rocket of a shot on him that always hit it’s mark.
+ Positionally he was solid. Always moving out into space to support the build-up play and create some great chances.
+ Passing was exactly what you would expect. Does a great job at providing quick and incisive passes that very often lead to an assist/goal.
/ Despite the high dribbling, it felt a little underwhelming. He just didn’t feel as slick on the ball as I would expect a card with 90+ dribbling to feel so you have to rely more on his Strength and Passing to make up for what felt like average dribbling at this stage
Gullit - Cop or Flop?
Let’s be frank, this was always going to be a difficult SBC to say it’s a “cop”. The price tag alone is more than enough to put anyone off before even getting into the in-game performance but for me he just didn’t feel like a 5 million coin card. I feel the price tag comes from the name alone. I’ve been fairly positive on how he performs in-game but in all honesty for the price, this should be the bare minimum.
I also don’t feel he suited the CAM position so much and would recommend playing him as a CM with the Box-to-Box role as his playstyle suits that a lot more. This is a great item but certainly not worth the price. I think outside of having that coin balance, which not many players will have spare, this SBC will be tough to complete despite there being some refreshed menu grind SBCs. I couldn’t even suggest trying out the loan because even that SBC comes at a cost of 50k which simply isn’t worth throwing away for 5 games.
I would suggest staying clear of this SBC and saving your fodder.
