FC 25 Team of The Week 30 Predictions

It looks as though we are heading for another underwhelming side, with just three players rated 88 leading the way, one of whom comes from the Polish division in Koulouris’ TIF. Headlining the selection, we have IFs for Bacha and Johnson, as well as a TIF for Doue following PSG’s title win.

Giorgi Mamardashvili - GK - 85 > 87 OVR

Eight saves and penalty save  /  Real Madrid 1 - Valencia 2  /  8.5 Sofascore Rating

Barcelona now have a four-point lead at the top of La Liga, with Valencia recording a 2-1 away win over Real Madrid on Saturday. Mamardashvili played a huge role in that victory, making key save after key save, but the one that stands out is the penalty save, denying Vini Jr from the spot. In total, the Georgian denied an expected goals total of 2.27, with Duro winning the match late on.

Selma Bacha - LB - 86 > 88 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Switzerland 0 - France 2  /  9.1 Sofascore Rating

With the female side of the game away on international break, we will likely see a couple of inclusions from the Nations League fixtures. One player who stands out is Bacha, after she scored one of France’s two goals during their 2-0 away win over Switzerland.

Leandro Cabrera - CB - 74 > 87 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Vallecano 0 - Espanyol 4  /  8.1 Sofascore Rating

With Espanyol struggling against relegation, an away trip to Vallecano, who are pushing for European football, was likely to be a tough match. That’s not how things played out, however, with Espanyol recording a comfortable 4-0 win. Cabrera scored one of those goals, claiming MOTM in the process. With an IF already to his name, that likely increases his chances here with him now falling under the gold category.

Lucy Bronze - RB - 85 > 88 OVR

Goal, assist and clean sheet  /  England 5 - Belgium 0  /  9.1 Sofascore Rating

Another defender from the nation league fixtures now and this one seems obvious. Bronze recorded both a goal and an assist from RB, alongside keeping a clean sheet as England cruised their ay to a 5-0 win over Belgium.

Desire Doue - RW - 76 > 88 OVR

One goal  /  PSG 1 - Angers 0  /  7 L’equipe Rating

It’s unclear how strict EA will be this year, with this being the first case of confirmed title winners, but in previous games, especially the first few leagues, they have received an IF from the match in which they win the title. Doue is the only option from PSG’s 1–0 win over Angers, with the French talent being the only player to receive a 7 or higher. He scored the only goal of the game to see PSG lift the title, with a remarkable 22-point gap with six games remaining.

Pablo Sarabia - CAM - 77 > 87 OVR

One goal, one assist  /  Ipswich 1 - Wolves 2  /  9 Sky Rating

If there was any doubt about the relegation battle prior to this week, those doubts have now been squashed. Sarabia came off the bench with the Tractor Boys leading 1-0 to turn the game around, first scoring from just outside the box before then providing the assist for a late Strand-Larsen winner. He received the highest match rating of the week with a 9/10, making him an easy choice for this side.

Anderson Talisca - CAM - 82 > 86 OVR

Hat trick  /  Fenerbahce 4 - Trabzonspor 1  /  9.1 Sofascore Rating

I am unsure of the actual position of Talisca, with the Brazilian coming off the bench for Fenerbahçe, but with three goals to his name, his position in the side is practically guaranteed, regardless of where he played. From looking at the heat maps, it would suggest a CAM role, but he could have also been on the left. His treble allowed Fenerbahçe to come away with a 4-1 win.

Alex Iwobi - LM - 77 > 85 OVR

One goal, one assist  /  Fulham 3 - Liverpool 2  /  8 Sky Rating

Fulham shocked league leaders Liverpool on Sunday, coming away with all three points via a 3–2 home win. With such a high-profile win, I would expect them to receive an IF on Wednesday. Iwobi was named MOTM after being involved in two of their three goals, making him the best option from the match.

Brennan Johnson - RW - 78 > 87 OVR

Two goals, One assist  /  Tottenham 3 - Southampton 1  /  9 Sky Rating

Johnson has been snubbed on a couple of occasions so far this season, but the Welshman surely can't be ignored this time around. With two goals and an assist, he delivered the final blow to Southampton's woeful Premier League campaign, making them the earliest to receive confirmed relegation in the league's history.

Efthymios Koulouris - ST - 69 > 88 OVR

Hat trick  /  Pogon 4 - Katowice 0  /  9.6 Sofascore Rating

A TIF from the Polish division is not something I had on my bingo card for the year, but with another hat trick to his name this week, taking his seasonal tally to twenty, it's something that looks highly probable come Wednesday. Pogon ran away as 4-0 winners, led by that mentioned Koulouris hat trick.

Vangelis Pavlidis - ST - 80 > 86 OVR

Hat trick  /  Porto 1 - Benfica 4  /  9.2 Sofascore Rating

With Sporting’s immaculate start to the campaign, you would have thought they would go on to lift the title, but with Amorim’s departure, everything changed. With Benfica beating Porto this weekend, they are now in the ascendancy to go on and win the title. Pavlidis was the star man, scoring all three goals during a 3-1 win.

Substitutes

Yerry Mina - CB - 76 > 85 OVR

MOTM  /  Empoli 0 - Cagliari 0  /  7 Gazzetta Rating

Yet again, it's going to be a case of taking a punt on the Serie A players, with most matches being low-scoring affairs, many of which ended up in a draw. Mina was named MOTM from a bore draw between Empoli and Cagliari, which could easily stand out to EA as a route into the division.

Eberechi Eze - CAM - 81 > 85 OVR

Two assists  /  Palace 2 - Brighton 1  /  8 Sky Rating

The Premier League had two sets of fixtures to choose from this week, but the division was still difficult to select from. We all know the Premier League will receive several players for TOTW 30, so some punts will need to be made. Eze provided both assists for Palace during a 2-1 win over Brighton, claiming MOTM with an 8/10.

Marin Jakolis - LW - 66 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Brisbane 1 - Macarthur 5  /  9.2 Sofascore Rating

The A-League is no stranger to high-scoring matches, with sides often running away with heavy wins. This was no different, with Macarthur recording a 5-1 away win over Brisbane. Jakolis found himself on the scoresheet three times, which should see him receive a SIF.

Romano Schmid - CM - 75 > 87 OVR

One goal, one assist  /  Bremen 2 - Frankfurt 0  /  8.4 Sofascore Rating

We saw several unexpected inclusions from the Bundesliga last week, reinforcing EA’s stance of including players from that division, likely as part of a quota. Once again it was difficult to fit multiple Bundesliga players in, but one who stood out was Schmid. Bremen recorded a 2-0 win at home to Frankfurt, with Schmid scoring one and assisting the other.

Evanilson - ST - 80 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  West Ham 2 - Bournemouth 2  /  8 Sky Rating

Bournemouth have been in poor form recently, which has seen them slide down the table dramatically, squandering any hopes of European football they may have had a couple of months ago. An Evanilson brace prevented another defeat on Saturday, but it was only enough for a point, taking their winless run to six matches.

Ermedin Demirovic - ST - 79 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Bochum 0 - Stuttgart 4  /  1 Kicker Rating

Bochum continue to struggle towards the bottom of the Bundesliga, and a 4–0 loss at home will not do their confidence any favours. Stuttgart were the side to benefit from this, and a Demirovic treble stands out from the comfortable victory.

Joel Pohjanpalo - ST - 75 > 85 OVR

Three goals, one assist  /  Palermo 5 - Sassuolo 3  /  9.5 Sofascore Rating

Pohjanpalo stood out during an eight-goal thriller between Palermo and league leaders Sassuolo. Contributing directly to four goals, three of which were his own, Pohjanpalo is an easy choice for TOTW 30.

Reserves

Abraham Odoh - LM - 64 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Crawley 3 - Peterborough 4  /  9.3 Sofascore Rating

Alfie May - CAM - 70 > 85 OVR

Two goals, two assists  /  Birmingham 6 - Barnsley 2  /  9.5 Sofascore Rating

Adama Bojang - ST - 64 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Grasshoppers 3 - Luzern 1  /  9.8 Sofascore Rating

Pablo Felipe - ST - 67 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Boavista 1 - Gil Vicente 3  /  9.5 Sofascore Rating

Tamara Moravkova - ST - 65 > 85 OVR

Four goals  /  Gibraltar 0 - Slovakia 8  /  MOTM
