FIFA 23 Bundesliga Player of the Month (POTM): August Nominees & Voting

The first Bundesliga Player of the Month vote for FIFA 23 has been announced!

Bundesliga’s August POTM Nominees have been revealed on EA’s Official Bundesliga POTM website, including Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku & Bayern’s Joshua Kimmich, with the FUT Community able to vote for who they want to see released as a POTM Player Squad Building Challenge (SBC) in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

What is Player of the Month in FIFA 23?

Player of the Month (POTM) is an award that is given to the leading performers across leagues globally, and in FIFA 23, this is no different.

At the start of every month, for the following selected leagues, a handful of the top performers from the previous month’s gameweeks are nominated for a special Player of the Month award, with the winner chosen by the FIFA community.

The winner is then released into FIFA 23 Ultimate Team soon after as a Player of the Month item via a limited-time SBC, with boosted stats and a unique card design.

When will Bundesliga August POTM be released?

Currently, there are no scheduled release dates for the Bundesliga August POTM SBC in FIFA 23, however, we can expect the winners’ SBC to be released around September 30, coinciding with the full release of FIFA 23, similar to the Serie A POTM SBC.

Bundesliga August POTM Nominees

The following 6 players have been announced as nominees for the Bundesliga August Player of the Month.

To vote for your Bundesliga POTM for August, you can visit EA’s voting page here: https://bundesligapotm.easports.com/

Benjamin Pavard - FC Bayern München

Matches Played: 4               Goals: 1

Pavard earns a spot in the August POTM voting following a strong start to the 22/23 campaign. 2 clean sheets against Wolfsburg & VfL Bochum, as well as a goal in their opening day thrashing away at Frankfurt, but is it enough to earn the votes of the FUT community?

Christopher Nkunku - RB Leipzig

Matches Played: 4               Goals: 4

After a 2021/22 campaign that saw Nkunku receive 8 performance-based cards in FIFA 22, including a staggering 4 POTM awards, the Frenchman is already trying to make his mark in FIFA 23. 4 goals across Leipzig’s opening 4 fixtures certainly puts him in contention for his first SBC of many in FUT23.

Joshua Kimmich - FC Bayern München

Matches Played: 4               Goals: 1               Assists: 2

The Bayern midfield maestro earns a POTM nomination with a string of influential performances for Bayern in the opening stages of the season, with 2 goals and an assist in Bayern's unbeaten start.

Vincenzo Grifo - SC Freiburg

Matches Played: 4               Goals: 3

The Italian winger has had a positive introduction to Freiburg’s table-topping Bundesliga campaign, scoring 3 goals in the opening 4 fixtures. With 2 match-winning contributions away at Stuttgart and home to Bochum, Grifo is a real contender for the POTM award this month.

Jonas Hector - FC Köln

Matches Played: 4               Assists: 1

A somewhat surprising nomination for the August POTM award, given Hector’s sole goal contribution in Köln’s 3-1 win over Schalke on the opening day of the Bundesliga season. That, and only 1 clean sheet in a 0-0 draw make this selection a somewhat unexpected recipient of the August POTM award.

Sheraldo Becker - FC Union Berlin

Matches Played: 4               Goals: 4               Assists: 2

Becker, the Suriname RW ranks in the top 3 rated players on WhoScored in the Bundesliga currently, following an extraordinary August. 6 goal contributions across 3 wins over Hertha, Leipzig & Schalke (as well as a goal against Bayern to kick-start September), make the Union Berlin winger a real shout for the August POTM award.
