The first Player of the Month vote for FIFA 23 has been announced!

Serie A’s August POTM Nominees have been revealed on EA’s Official Serie A POTM website, with the FUT Community able to vote for who they want to see released as one of the first POTM Player Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

What is Player of the Month in FIFA 23?

Player of the Month (POTM) is an award that is given to the leading performers across leagues globally, and in FIFA 23, this is no different.

At the start of every month, for the following selected leagues, a handful of the top performers from the previous month’s gameweeks are nominated for a special Player of the Month award, with the winner chosen by the FIFA community.

The winner is then released into FIFA 23 Ultimate Team soon after as a Player of the Month item via a limited-time SBC, with boosted stats and a unique card design.

When will Serie A August POTM be released?

Currently, there are no scheduled release dates for the Serie A August POTM SBC in FIFA 23, however, we can expect the winners’ SBC to be released around September 30, coinciding with the full release of FIFA 23.

Paulo Dybala - Roma

Matches Played: 4 Goals: 2 Assists: 1

Roma’s number 21 has started Serie A with a bang, contributing towards 3 goals in his first 4 games, with a goal in Roma’s 1-1 away draw with Juventus, and a brace in a 3-0 home win over Monza.

Teun Koopmeiners - Atalanta

Matches Played: 4 Goals: 4

Atalanta sits at the top of Serie A after an impressive first 5 gameweeks, with the Dutchman being instrumental in their early success. A crucial goal in a 1-0 away win over Hellas Verona, followed by a MOTM display netting a hat-trick, including 2 penalties makes Koopmeiners a worthy nominee for the August POTM award.

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia - Napoli

Matches Played: 4 Goals: 3 Assists: 1

We’ll go with Kvicha. Following the Georgian internationals’ arrival to Napoli and the Italian league, he’s hit the ground running, with a goal and assist on his debut away at Hellas Verona, before following up with 2 goals in a 4-0 home win over Monza.

Lautaro Martínez - Inter

Matches Played: 4 Goals: 3 Assists: 1

Lautaro has started this Serie A season just as he finished the previous, in fine goal-scoring form. Notching goal contributions in all 4 of his August fixtures, he’s certainly going to be someone to keep an eye on this year.
