FC 25 PL/WSL TOTS Highlights Predictions!

Team of The Season is well underway and we’ve had a fantastic weekend testing out some of the new cards! One set of new cards that are making their debut in FC 25 is TOTS Highlights, these brand new purple cards are a nice touch and allows for even more options when building teams!

Today, we’ll be predicting our inclusions for the upcoming Premier League and Women’s Super League Team of The Season dropping this Friday! The three Highlight categories look to be set as followed;

Newcomer of the Season
Goal of the Season
Moment of the Season

We’ll start with the Premier League then move onto the WSL

Newcomer of The Season - Omar Marmoush

Marmoush has hit the ground running for Manchester City since joining in January and is partly the reason they’ll (hopefully) end in the Champions League spots. He’s bagged 6 in 11 starts for the Blues, and with 26 Bundesliga goal contributions too this season we think he’s nailed on for an inclusion.

Goal of The Season - Riccardo Calafiori (vs Manchester City)

There have been so many huge goals in the Premier League this season but our choice has to go to Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori. His first time curling effort against Manchester City stunned the Etihad and left Pep Guardiola raging. Arsenal may not have won the game, but it was a brilliant goal that we think deserves recognition.

Moment of The Season - James Tarkowski (vs Liverpool)

Everton don’t get too many special cards, but we can’t think of a more deserving Moment of The Season than this. The last ever Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park wasn’t going as planned for the Toffees, that was until the 98th minute… James Tarkowski found himself at the back post with the ball falling perfectly on the volley. The rest is history.

Three incredible cards which we think should be recognised this Friday! Now moving onto the WSL where we’ve actually chosen four players…

Newcomer of The Season - Olivia Smith

Olivia Smith arrived at Anfield for a club record €250,000 fee this summer and so far is looking like she’s worth every penny. She’s been a constant threat to every other WSL team, showing up in the big games and scoring the goals that Liverpool need. You’d have thought she’d been playing in the WSL for years the way she’s taken to the league this season. A brilliant singing and one we think deserves recognition.

Newcomer of The Season - Shekira Martinez

The German striker actually signed for West Ham in the summer, but spent the first half of the season at Freiburg gaining necessary Visa points to be able to play in England. She’s hit the ground running with West Ham, scoring 9 goals in 9 WSL matches since coming back, including a huge four goal haul against Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Both Smith and Martinez have been electric this season and we just couldn’t choose between the two, so we’ve had to go with both!

Goal of The Season - Emily Fox (vs Spurs)

We think Arsenal defenders could be taking home both Goal of The Season cards. Spurs were 4-0 down with just minutes to go, and had already been humiliated enough but there was still time for more. Emily Fox lined up a long range effort and slammed it past Lize Kop in the Spurs goal. Not a bad way to open your WSL account.

Moment of The Season - Mary Fowler (vs Man United, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Liverpool)

Mary Fowler has been one of the standout players for Manchester City this season and we’ve chosen her record breaking moment against Liverpool. She became the first player in WSL history to record 2+ goal contributions in 4 consecutive matches. She kicked off the run with 2 assists against Manchester Untied at the Etihad, with performances against Villa (1G1A) and Arsenal (2G) to follow. Liverpool at home is where she wrote her name in the history books with two assists to Bunny Shaw.
