FIFA 23 Player Moments Arnaut Danjuma 85 SBC - Cop or Flop?

Our first Player Moments SBC is here and it’s the Yellow Submarine’s attacking swiss army knife, Arnaut Danjuma. A +3 improvement on his very impressive 82 base card, whilst retaining his positional versatility, makes this a very solid player.

Check out his card - Danjuma 85

The “moment” referred to in the details of this SBC is his heroic 2 goal performance against Atalanta to propel Villarreal into the knockout stages of the Champions League. Although to be fair, he could have received a moment for the UCL as a whole. 6 goals in 11 games during an unlikely run to the Semi Finals is an outstanding individual effort.

Moments Danjuma SBC Requirements

Here are the following SBC Requirements you’ll need to complete for Danjuma’s Player Moments SBC:

#1 - Netherlands

Dutch Players - Min 1

Min 85 OVR - Min 1

Squad Rating - Min 83

Reward - Small Gold Players Pack

#2 - LaLiga

La Liga Players - Min 1

Min 86 OVR - Min 2

Squad Rating - Min 84

Reward - Gold Players Pack

Total Cost from scratch ~ 60K

Average Return From Packs ~ 9k

This is a very well priced SBC. La Liga is lacking in quality left-sided players apart from the obvious Vinicius Jr and with most people being able to cobble together an 83-rated squad with what they have in the club, an 84-rated squad is a reasonable exchange for a quality player. Having used and been abused by this card, I can categorically say, this is value for coins.

Moments Danjuma SBC Analysis

The ex-Bournemouth winger/striker has been given a +3 boost to what was already a starter squad staple. With +4 in passing and dribbling, arguably the 2 areas in which his base card needed the most help, he now is much smoother both on the ball and much more precise when moving the ball on.

His ability to play LM, LW and ST allow for a lot of creativity when deciding on which chem style to go with. 53% of you have gone with Finisher on his player page giving him 99 finishing, 92 Positioning, 96 agility and 99 Dribbling.

This is exactly what I would go for if you want to play this card at Striker. At LM however, an engine is a must have. A +8 to his crossing, balance and dribbling should allow you to create space and pick out pinpoint crosses.

But is he Lengthy? No.

Danjuma is naturally explosive with a basic and I would only suggest Hawk, Marksman or Sniper of the chem styles that get him controlled. However, I don’t think this should be too much of an issue. With solid pace and good physicals, Danjuma should do everything you need of a striker or winger, regardless of his lack of length.

How Does He Compare?

With a player this versatile it’s difficult to pinpoint exact comparisons. In terms of LM/LWs from La Liga, you have the very expensive Vinny J and the very inexpensive Yannick Carrasco. Despite the high and average body type of Carrasco, I believe that he offers better value for coins in the LM/LW role specifically.

However, where Danjuma becomes a must complete for me is upfront. Other than the Ghanain Inaki Williams (his brother Nico still Spanish…), who makes up for his blistering pace with hilariously bad technicals, La Liga is really not blessed with pacey strikers. The Aldi Haaland, IF Sorloth, is the obvious choice as a strike partner and I think the 2 complements each other extremely well.

Danjuma is an interesting one for links. Club wise, you are looking at only really RTTK Gerard Moreno, but having used him myself, this isn’t a link you should get excited about.

However, the Dutchman has some compatriots in La Liga in Frenkie De Jong and Memphis Depay giving you great chemistry links for hybrids. If you wanted to lean fully into the Dutch oven, you could pair him up with POTM Cody Gakpo (another incredibly well-priced SBC), De Ligt or even storyline Kasanwirjo if you took him.

Danjuma Player Moments - Cop or Flop?

With 92% upvotes on the SBC, it’s clear that you also think this is great value. And if you needed a Tl;dr, Honzaeuu has you covered!

Having played with this card for 15 games now, I have to say, he’s one of my favourite strikers in-game. A must complete if you have the coins or are looking for La Liga links to a Red Sorloth. Every time I see his mess of hair taking the oppo’s kick-off, I know I’m in for a game.

Whether you like it Arnaut, this SBC is worth every coin.

SBC Rating – 8/10
