Although the side as a whole is pretty standard there are several big names that lead the way for TOTW 17 with Mbappe, De Bruyne, Fernandes and Reus all looking likely to feature. With potential featured upgrades for both Medina and Tsygankov looking like strong alternate options.

Bernd Leno - GK - 80 > 87 OVR
Seven saves and a clean sheet / Brighton 0 - Fulham 1 / 8 Sky Rating
There were a couple of Premier League goalkeepers I had in mind this week with both Leno and Alisson standing out. With seven saves and a MOTM award to his name, it's Leno that ended up making the cut, with his SIF taking him up to an 87.
James Tavernier - RB - 78 > 83 OVR
Two goals, clean sheet / Livingston 0 - Rangers 3 / MOTM
We often see numerous Tavernier IF’s over the season and even more IF predictions. It’s been a quiet FIFA for the wingback though with far fewer goal contributions in recent times. A double from the defender alongside a clean sheet this week practically guarantees him a slot in the side though.
Facundo Medina - CB - 76 > 86 OVR
Assist / Lens 3 - Nantes 1 / 8 L’equipe Rating
Lens take another step closer to European qualification with a 3-1 win over Nantes putting an 8-point gap between themselves and Lille in 6th. There were a couple of defensive shouts from Lens but with L’equipe awarding Medina an 8/10 he becomes the obvious candidate.
Emerson - RWB - 78 > 83 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Tottenham 2 - West Ham 0 / 7 Sky Rating
With Pedro Porro’s Premier League debut being one to forget it gave Emerson another chance at RB. It's one he took with both hands, being named MOTM after he opened the scoring and helped to keep a clean sheet. The Brazilian will likely be nailed down on the right-hand side for a few more weeks now.
Bruno Fernandes - RM - 86 > 88 OVR
Two assists / Manchester United 3 - Leicester 0 / 8 Sky Rating
Rashford continued his sublime form, scoring twice to help United chase the top two. With his third POTM looking very likely and his previous IF coming just five weeks ago I have decided to snub him and instead go for another United candidate in Fernandes. Playing in an unusual wide position Fernandes turned supplier, providing two assists.
Kevin De Bruyne - CM - 91 > 93 OVR
Goal and assist / Arsenal 1 - Man City 3 / 9 Sky Rating
Although Manchester United have ramped up their chase the title is likely to be between both Arsenal and City. The gap continues to shrink thanks to a crucial three points picked up by City during the encounter between the pair midweek. KDB was pivotal as he often is in big games, contributing to two goals to be named MOTM.
Marco Reus - CM - 85 > 87 OVR
Goal and assist / Dortmund 4 - Hertha 1 / 2 Kicker Rating
Both Reus and Adeyemi scored once and assisted another against Hertha with both also featuring in Kickers TOTW. Either could end up making it but a recent future star for Adeyemi puts me off thus Reus makes my prediction.
Viktor Tsygankov - RM - 80 > 87 OVR
Goal and assist / Girona 6 - Almeria 2 / 8.4 Whoscored Rating
Having performed well in Ukraine for Dynamo Kyiv for several seasons, Tsygankov finally got a move to the top five leagues, with Girona being the side to take the punt. He showed his quality this weekend, being involved in two goals as Girona excelled.
Kylian Mbappe - ST - 91 > 93 OVR
Two goals / PSG 4 - Lille 3 / 8 L’equipe Rating
In what will be the game of the season in Ligue 1, PSG came out on top in dramatic fashion. Finding themselves 3-2 late into the match Mbappe grabbed an equaliser in the 87th minute before Messi then scored in the 95th to win it. Mbappe was named MOTM and without an IF since week 6, two goals should be enough for him.
Dusan Tadic - ST - 84 > 87 OVR
Two goals, one assist / Ajax 4 Rotterdam 0 / 8 VI Rating
Tadic has been snubbed numerous times this FIFA but TOTW 17 finally looks to be the week he sneaks in. After three goal contributions, you can’t ignore the Serbian this week.
Ciro Immobile - ST - 86 > 88 OVR
Two goals / Salernitana 0 - Lazio 2 / 7.5 Gazzetta Rating
It’s been long overdue for us to see an Immobile special card. His brace this weekend means he should finally receive his second upgrade of the game, especially after Gazzetta named him MOTM with a 7.5
Substitutes
Mattia Perin - GK - 79 > 83 OVR
Seven saves and clean sheet / Spezia 0 - Juventus 2 / 7 Gazzetta Rating
For me, the substitute keeper came down to either Perin or Schmeichel. With the former being without an IF and Serie A having minimal options I felt that the Italian was the better option. It was a modest seven-match rating but still the joint highest of the match.
Borna Sosa - LB - 78 > 83 OVR
Goal and clean sheet / Stuttgart 3 - Koln 0 / 2 Kicker Rating
Stuttgart recorded a much-needed three points as they look to escape from their relegation battle. A 3-0 win should fill them with confidence going forward. Sosa scored one of those three goals making him a strong candidate for TOTW 17.
Sergi Roberto - CM - 80 > 84 OVR
Goal and assist / Barcelona 2 - Cadiz 0 / 8.7 Whoscored Rating
Onto an interesting positional change now with Roberto playing a more advanced CM role for Barcelona this weekend. The tactical change paid off with the Spaniard playing a part in both of their goals to secure a 2-0 win.
Dani Rodriguez - CM - 76 > 83 OVR
Two goals / Mallorca 4 - Villarreal 2 / 8.7 Whoscored Rating
La Liga was the polar opposite this week with goals flying in left, right and centre. This resulted in a plethora of options from the division. One of those was Roriguez with his brace helping Mallorca pick up all three points.
Lars Stindl - CAM - 79 > 83 OVR
Goal / Gladbach 3 - Munich 2 / 2 Kicker Rating
Hofmann was named POTW in Germany for his sublime performance against Bayern Munich. With the German already receiving three TOTWs and his most recent coming in TOTW 14 it is doubtful he features again. I can’t see Gladbach missing out though and therefore I have taken a punt with Stindl.
Dominik Szoboszlai - RM - 79 > 83 OVR
Goal / Wolfsburg 0 - Leipzig 3 / 1.5 Kicker Rating
Another punt from Germany now with Szoboszlai. The Hungarian scored the final game of the game as Leipzig confirmed their comfortable win over Wolfsburg. Szoboszlai was named MOTM with an impressive match rating.
Tom Bradshaw - ST - 69 > 83 OVR
Hat trick / Millwall 3 - Sheffield United 2 / 9 Sofascore Rating
A battle between two sides near the top of the championship didn’t fail to impress with a tight encounter between the two producing five goals. Bradshaw was the difference between the two sides, scoring all three of Millwall's goals.
