Bundesliga TOTS Predictions FIFA 23

The second TOTS prediction comes with the Bundesliga. Although Munich have failed to dominate the division like they often do they still feature heavily on this side. Dortmund also features well while several other European chasing sides have their say on the Bundesliga TOTS.

Gregor Kobel - GK - 83 > 93 OVR

There is not a clear-cut keeper for selection this season in the Bundesliga with a vote being unclear too. On performances alone, it is probably between both Kobel and Ronnow. Sommer could sneak a vote win but I think that would be too undeserved. Kobel is probably the best option and with the Dortmund fanbase being big he stands a good chance in the vote too.

Alphonso Davies - LB - 84 > 92 OVR

Although I feel that several smaller names deserve it over Davies when it comes down to the vote Davies will walk it. He's not been bad by any stretch of the imagination but when he is coming up against the likes of Tremmel, Sule and Guerreiro only one player is winning that vote for a FIFA fanbase.

Matthijs De Ligt - CB - 85 > 95 OVR

When you consider that De Ligt is only 23 years of age the 80 million transfer fee that Munich paid for him could turn out to be a steal. His performances for the German champions have been phenomenal consistently. He already looks to be one of the best defenders in the world and the best is still yet to come. Munich currently obtain the least goals conceded with just 30 and De Ligt has been at the heart of that

Jeremie Frimpong - RWB - 80 > 91 OVR

In general, it’s been an up-and-down season for Leverkusen who currently sit in 6th position but one player which has stood out is Frimpong. Defensively Leverkusen has been nothing special but it’s when you look at what the Dutchman has achieved going forward that you realise just how impressive he has been. With eight goals and six assists to his name Frimpong has been involved in over a quarter of Leverkusen’s goals, from RWB.

Julian Brandt - RM - 82 > 93 OVR

After a bright start to his career, Brandt had dropped off in recent years but the German has looked at his very best throughout this season, arguably being Dortmund's best player as a whole which is a very talented side is quite an accomplishment. With two player of the month awards this season it was pretty obvious that he would make this side the only hard decision is what position that will be.

Joshua Kimmich - CDM - 89 > 96 OVR

Kimmich has featured in the previous five Bundesliga TOTS whether that's at RB or more recently in the middle of the park. That streak is unlikely to end here with the German playing an important role once again for Munich. The German has been his usual self, doing all the hard work to allow that attacking talent to flow at the other end. Kimmich still contributes on the attack though claiming both four goals and assists in 24 matches he has featured in.

Jamal Musiala - CAM - 81 > 94 OVR

Goals have not been a problem for Munich despite the loss of their main source in Lewandowski. Several players have stepped up on that front with Musiala being one of them. The youngster is likely going to become one of the best in the world with his performances already being of the highest calibre consistently. With eleven goals and nine assists from midfield, he is a lock for this side.

Jude Bellingham - CM- 84 > 95 OVR

The way that Bellingham goes about his game without knowing his story you would think that he was in the prime years of his career when in fact he is still only 19. How many players of his age make it into TOTY? Although you could argue that Brandt has been more important for Dortmund this season than Bellingham his performances have still been exemplary and there is no way that he misses out on this side, especially with a fan vote being part of the decision.

Leroy Sane - CAM - 84 > 93 OVR

The rotation within the current Bayern Munich side, especially when it comes to the attack makes the decisions on TOTS inclusions very difficult. Muller, Sane, Gnabry and Coman are all contenders for this side but all are heavily rotated. I do expect one of the mentioned players to make the side and for me that is Sane. The German receives the most game time of the aforementioned and with seven goals and five assists has contributed well within his minutes.

Niclas Fullkrug - ST - 75 > 91 OVR

On the majority of occasions, the league's top goalscorer will come from the league leaders, or at least from a club fighting for the title. That is anything but the case with Fullkrug. Werder Bremen currently sit down in 11th but Fullkrug is ensuring they don’t drop much lower with 16 goals to his name and even being awarded player of the month on two occasions. A superb season for the German.

Kolo Muani - ST - 78 > 91 OVR

With contributions to almost half of Frankfurt’s goals this season it's easy to see why there is so much hype around Muani as a player. The Frenchman is still only 24 years of age and with desirable aspects in multiple parts of his game I wouldn’t be surprised to see several top-end clubs fight for his signature in the summer.

Substitutes

Niklas Sule - CB - 85 > 93 OVR

It’s usually the case that Munich manage to take the majority of Dortmund’s talent but it’s the other way around this time. Sule was out of favour with Munich after the signings of Upamecano and De Ligt so Dortmund managed to get the German on a free. Sule has since played a pivotal role at the back for them performing week in and week out.

Danilho Doekhi - CB - 74 > 90 OVR

Although Doekhi was absent for the opening parts of the season whether that was through injury or simply on the bench, since breaking into the side in October the Dutchman has not looked back. Union Berlin has shocked the Bundesliga this season and has looked like title contenders throughout. They will inevitably feature in this side and Doekhi looks to be one of the better options with goal contributions and a strong defensive record.

Ellyes Skhiri - CDM - 79 > 91 OVR

A bit of an unorthodox selection here with Koln currently sitting down in 11th, just seven points off the relegation zone a CDM is the last position you would expect to see from them. Skhiri has stood out though and will likely be snapped up over the summer with Dortmund being linked to his signature. He has been very highly rated by Kicker throughout the season and could find himself sneaking into this side as a result.

Vincenzo Grifo - CM - 81 > 92 OVR

There are been a few surprise packages in the Bundesliga this season with Freiburg being one of them. It comes as no surprise to see Grifo being one of the main players behind that success though with the Italian impressing for quite some time now. With 13 goals and 4 assists, he has been their main source of goals throughout the campaign.

Jonas Hofmann - RM - 81 > 92 OVR

You usually get a couple of inclusions from midtable sides with players simply carrying their sides significantly above where they would be without them. Hofmann is a perfect example of that with the German providing nine goals and eight assists to single-handedly earn Gladbach points at times. The fact he has three IF’s this season already speaks for itself.

Marcus Thuram - ST - 78 > 91 OVR

When I originally wrote this prediction I had left Thuram out the side but after adding more goals to his tally he is now second in the golden boot race with 13 goals and 5 assists. His performances have seen him rack up three IF’s already. The only thing going against Thuram is that Gladbach are down in 10th so do they deserve two TOTS inclusions?

Christopher Nkunku - CF - 86 > 92 OVR

Nkunku was never going to repeat what he managed in the 2021/22 campaign but his performances have still been of a very high level despite being hampered by injury during the second half of the season. His minutes do come into question as a result of that but with Nkunku likely to feature in the voting there is no way he doesn’t win that with the FIFA hype he obtains.
