EA Sports FC 24 - Everything We Know So Far

After 38 editions of the FIFA game series, EA Sports are set to drop the “FIFA’ title as they head into an exciting new era. So, instead of seeing FIFA 24 line the shelves next season, it will be the first installment of EA Sports FC.

The new brand identity is inspired by the triangles that have been part of EA Sports football for the last 30 years, from the isometric polygons that make up our game to the chemistry triangles that exist in Ultimate Team™ to the player indicator across every match.

Will There Still Be A FIFA Game?

Yes and No. FIFA Football Federation is set to start developing its own football video game to compete with EA Sports.

Their plan is to continue the FIFA series but will take a break in for 24. Gianni Infantino said, “ The new FIFA game - the FIFA 25, 26, 27, and so on - will always be the best e-game for any girl or boy, we will have news on this very soon."

So yes, technically they’ll be a FIFA game in the coming years but it won’t be developed by EA Sports or have any connection with EA Sports FC.

What Game Modes Will Be In EA Sports FC 24?

There may be some big changes coming but that doesn’t mean everything will. It has been confirmed that we’ll still have the same game modes we know and love next year meaning the following won’t be going anywhere:

  • Kick Off
  • Ultimate Team
  • Career Mode
  • Tournaments
  • Skill Games
  • Volta
  • Pro Clubs
  • Practice Arena
  • Seasons

Will EA Sports FC Have Real Players and Teams?

Having licenses to real names and teams is what has kept FIFA as the number one football game, but will the move away from FIFA mean anything different?

EA Sports FC will continue to include fully licensed leagues, teams, and players, just as FIFA did. EA Sports will continue its partnership with already existing leagues meaning we’ll have more than 19,000 licensed players, 700+ teams, and 30+ leagues.

Which Leagues Have Been Confirmed So Far?

The following leagues have already been confirmed for EA Sports FC 24.

  • UEFA Champions League
  • UEFA Europa League
  • UEFA Conference League
  • Europe’s Top 5 (Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1)
