FIFA 23 Shapeshifters Vitinha Player Review - Cop or Flop?

Another day another SBC! Today we have had a plethora of content which is certainly welcomed! Another Objective card has landed in the form of a Shapeshifters Bamba card! This has him swapped to the RB position which is just fantastic for squads! Even better, to earn this card you just need to complete the new Upgrade SBCs! Can’t complain at all! 

But in the SBC region, alongside upgrade SBCs, we have been treated to a Shapeshifters Vitinha card. The change here is that he comes as a Striker! Right off the bat, this SBC has been massively well-received with a large majority upvote.

The reason being? It’s surely gotta be the price. Obviously, the card looks fantastic from first impressions. But when you see an SBC of a PSG player that plays in a top nation, you expect to see a hefty price tag. But this SBC is coming in at just 250,000 coins.

So as I said, this is actually priced incredibly well! I really expected to see this come in at 500,000 coins minimum but it seems EA has niced us a little bit here. There are so many options to get fodder right now whether that be from objectives or the upgrade SBCs that have been released alongside this. So I expect to see a lot of people completing this SBC just off of value alone. But how did he perform?

I wanted to mix things up a little and try a formation that I had been meaning to get around to using in the 424. A first for me this year. The reason for this change? So many options that I just can’t choose from. So for this, we saw Vitinha join the scary attack force of Mbappe, Leao and Messi. These four upfront look dangerous. I opted with the Hunter chem style here just to go overkill on the Pace and Shooting as I knew this guy would be a goal machine with those stats.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Dribbling on this card was incredible! He stuck to the ball like glue and when pressured by the opposition he seemed to always find his way out still holding possession.
+ I’ll admit typically I struggle to get on with left-footed players purely because of shooting with them, having been used to right-footed players a majority of the time. But the shooting on this card was sublime. On either foot, he was finding the back of the net as if it was nothing!
+ Positioning on Vitinha was really impressive too. He seemed to be making every kind of run needed whether it be in a goal-scoring position or just to serve as backup for his teammates to get out of sticky positions.
+The card felt incredibly quick as you would typically expect to see on a card with 95 pace.
/ I don’t want to say that strength was bad on this card as his dribbling was usually what saved him but it’s worth noting that he does have relatively low strength so could be knocked off the ball easily if you aren’t great with your dribbling

Vitinha - Cop or Flop?

I have to go out and say that this might be one of my favorite cards to have used this year. I may be getting ahead of myself here but I genuinely believe that if ever you were looking for a card to move that POTM Mbappe out of your squad, this could be it. Now of course he won’t be because he will be joining Mbappe as a second striker. These two felt like an absolute cheat code because they were simply unstoppable.

Have to give a huge props to EA on the price of this too because if you are the kind of player that couldn’t drop two million coins on the POTM Mbappe SBC, this is your chance to get what feels like an incredibly cheap alternative. Let’s be honest too, it’s harder to find players in this game that don’t have PSG players in their squad because the majority of PSG SBCs we have had have given us absolute meta players. For me, this is a must complete.
