So here we are in Day 3 of the Second Week into the FUTTIES promo. Typically on the weekend, we find content dies off a little bit but it really seems like EA is trying to make up for a pretty boring first week because the content these past few days is absolutely nothing to complain about.
Alongside a pretty good valued Icon Upgrade SBC comes a fantastic Futties item in the form of a 96-rated Tammy Abraham! As we well know, the RTTF item we had previously for Abraham was pretty damn good and even now can hold up in teams. He was an absolute lifeline for me when completing the Level Up Sterling Objective a few weeks ago so as soon as I saw this SBC I just had to get my hands on this card.
You can check out the card here!
Here are the following SBC Requirements you’ll need to complete:
#1 - Top Form
IF or TOTS Players - Min. 1
Squad Rating - 84
Pack Return - Mixed Players Pack
#2 - England
# of Players from England - Min. 1
Squad Rating - 85
Pack Return - Jumbo Premium Gold Pack
#3 - Serie A
# of Players from Serie A - Min. 1
Squad Rating - 87
Pack Return - Premium Mixed Players Pack
As I said, as soon as I saw this SBC I needed to get my hands on it. Though I was expecting a higher price tag but just like last time, this Tammy SBC is really decent value. For context here.. The 92 RTTF SBC came in at roughly 200k coins. This SBC seems to be coming in at 230k coins. So as I said, really good value here and it brings me back to what I said in the Futties Rodrygo article. Rodrygo came in at a 900k price tag. This Tammy card absolutely trumps Rodrygo and comes in at less than a third of the price. You just can’t go wrong which is why you have to be careful when hitting the go button on an expensive SBC.
Alongside Tammy for this review was none other than Centurions Zlatan Ibrahimovic. A card I have long been wanting to use but not quite had the facilities for. Best of being in packs of course has made this duo possible for me and boy, what a dominant striking pair these were. Defenders genuinely stood no chance with these two titans running at them.
How did he perform in-game?
+ Shooting was near perfect, worth noting on the RTTF version I felt he could be a tad bit slow to take the shot off but that is no issue on this card. +Positioning was great, he always pushed out into open space and found over-the-top balls worked wonders with him.
+ Pace on this card was an absolute highlight for me. He would just burst through players with ease and leave them eating his dust.
+ Strength worked perfectly alongside his pace, just muscled everyone off of the ball and ran away with the ball every time.
+ Passing was a much bigger improvement this time around. Previously I highlighted the RTTF item was lacking in passing but he performed some incredible crosses for me and always seemed to find his teammates
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this card genuinely feels like one of the most complete strikers I have used all year and think he may be the Shapeshifter Icon Cech killer that I have long been waiting for.
Tammy Abraham - Cop or Flop?
I think it’s quite clear cut here, this is an absolute Cop! This card just felt so perfect to me and I really believe you will see this item in a lot of people's teams. I had such an incredibly fun time using this card that now I am having to restructure my main team to enable him into the squad.
I have made a point previously with Futties though, that being, why are we not seeing more cards like this being a Premium item? Yes of course he is English and in a Top 5 league, so can easily fit into squads. But come on, it’s the end of the game. Why not make this card absolutely elite? That and giving him a 5* WF would have been absolute perfection. His shooting is amazing as it is so the up from 4* to 5* would really make little difference but it’s just the cherry on top.
Verdict: COP
