EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode Deep Dive Overview

The Career Mode Deep Dive for FC 24 is here and there have been plenty of new additions which we’re really excited for! We’ll split this overview into two sections; Manager Career and Player Career to fill you in on everything you need to know!

Manager Career

Tactical Vision

New tactical styles are coming to FC 24 to allow you to play your desired way and implement your football identity onto the field. There are 7 new Tactical Visions that are being introduced based on real life philosophies ranging from Park-The-Bus to Tiki Taka. Here are the 7 new visions and what they do when implemented:

Standard - Creates a balanced approach to the game at both ends of the field.

Wing Play - Makes full use of the width of the pitch and utilises wingers and overlapping fullbacks to add threat from those areas.

Tiki Taka - A possession based style of play. Your team will play short quick passes whilst patiently waiting for attacking space to open up which they can drive in to.

Counter Attack - Players will overload the box whilst defending in an attempt to clear the ball to fast attacking players to break out and counter at pace.

Gegenpressing - This is a strategy based around high press. Your team will attempt to win the ball back in their attacking third to create chances before the opposition can reset.

Kick and Rush - The Kick and Rush strategy involves playing lofted balls up field to knock on headers to quick strikers who can exploit the space, or commonly known as long ball.

Park the Bus - You can emulate The Special One with this final tactical style. You're always disciplined and well-organised out of possession, usually employing a very low block, throttling opponents' attacks before winning the ball and trying to get forward yourselves.

 

Tactical Vision Scouting 

The scouting system has been refreshed meaning that you can now search for players that will suit these previously mentioned tactical styles. For example, when looking for a Central Midfielder (CM) that is compatible with Counter-Attack, your scouts will prioritise Agility, Stamina, Dribbling and Acceleration among other Attributes, while a Tiki-Taka CM will need good levels of Ball Control, Short Passing, Positioning, to be a part of the report. 

 

 

Coaches

Coaching staff are being brought to FC 24 and they are going to have a huge impact on how well your team learns your tactics. You can distribute the number of coaches wherever you like, for example having more attacking coaches will accelerate the development of your strikers. 

 

Pre Match Reports 

Reports of your opposition will now be available to access pre match in order to give you the best preparation possible. You'll be able to see a probable line up, their tactical style, key players and the ways which they both defend and attack.

Player Career

Player Agent

The Player Agent allows for deep diving into the world of transfers, contracts and the many twists that are going to shape your career across multiple seasons. They will guide your career path and help you shape the future by negotiating with potential teams about transfers and contracts. 

Your agent will also help evaluate your career choices and recommend stepping stone clubs if your target club is too unrealistic in the present day.

 

PlayStyles

We’ve spoken about PlayStyles previously here and how they will affect gameplay in general but what will they bring to Career Mode? At each of the 7 levels of Personality, you will be able to assign a PlayStyle, a unique boost that will change how you behave on the pitch. Different PlayStyles are available depending on the distribution of personality points. The more points spent on one personality, the more PlayStyles you will get from that type.

 

Objective Generator

Each club will have set goals for you to meet whether you want a new contract or a transfer, these will have to be met throughout the season and then assessed by clubs once the season is over. 

Mandatory objectives have to be completed in order for clubs to even think about working with you, they are the bare minimum you need to be hitting in order to keep your current contract or secure a place at a new club.

Optional objectives come into play when you want a pay increase. Completing them as well as mandatory objectives will increase the amount of money clubs are willing to pay you. 

 

Dynamic Moments

EA Sports FC have partnered with the Ballon D’or to bring us cutscenes and in game award shows from the event and obviously the official Ballon D’or trophy, if you’re good enough!

End of season award shows are also being added into next year's game which will see both Manager and Player of the Season awards handed out.

Trophy parades are coming too! If your team (either in manager or player career) wins at least one trophy then there will be an open top bus parade at the end of the season to celebrate your success. 

Dynamic moments are only available on New Gen consoles and PC.
