EA Sports FC 24 Bayern Munich Ratings Prediction

Last season was poor for Bayern’s standards as they just about scraped their way to the Bundesliga title. Improvements were needed in the Bayern team and they’ve gone and done just that. Both Harry Kane and Kim Min Jae have been brought in to bolster the squad, one of the best strikers and best defenders in the world. If they don’t win the Bundesliga this season then there’s serious questions to be asked.

Goalkeepers and Defenders

Manuel Neuer - 88 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 90

Neuer’s 2022/23 season ended after the World Cup when a skiing trip ended in a broken leg.

The German only played 12 Bundesliga matches and unfortunately we can only see a downgrade coming, especially given his age.

Matthijs de Ligt - 87 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 85

Matthijs de Ligt was hands down the best defender in the Bundesliga last season and definitely put forward a case for being one of the best in the world.

Bayern hunted Borussia Dortmund down right until the last minutes of the final matchday to overtake and win yet another Bundesliga, but they wouldn't have been that close without de Ligt.

Kim Min Jae - 84 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 79

Kim Min Jae had such a good season that he found his way into two separate FIFA 23 TOTS squads!

The South Korean has had a very impressive debut season at Napoli, not only picking up a player of the month award but also defender of the season.

Kim was wanted by all of Europe’s biggest teams this summer but decided on Bayern. We think he’ll have a very deserving 84 rated card in his first Bundesliga season..

Dayot Upamecano - 82 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 81

Upamecano may have been referred to as UpaMaguire as he failed to contain Erling Haaland in the Champions League but that shouldn’t take away from what was a good season.

16 clean sheets across all competitions for the Frenchman which included 2 shutouts against a PSG team featuring Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.

We’ve given him a +1 after a very solid season.

Raphael Guerreiro - 84 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 82

Guerreiro left Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer after 7 years at the club.

There were many rumours as to where he would move and he finally settled on staying in Germany, with rivals Bayern Munich.

Dortmund came so close to taking home the Bundesliga trophy and Guerreiro was one of the reasons for that. He had a very impressive season so we’ve given him a +2 upgrade.

Alphonso Davies - 85 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 84

With Bayern Munich now signing another left back, Davies may finally get his wish and be given the opportunity to play left wing.

With his position most likely unknown until further into the season we’ve kept him at left back for at least one more year.

He might not like playing defence but certainly does a good job. Another great season for the Canadian which we think warrants an upgrade.

Midfielders

Joshua Kimmich - 90 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 89

Joshua Kimmich had yet another amazing season with Bayern Munich and proved why he’s one of the best midfielders in the world.

18 goal involvements in all competitions for Kimmich as Bayern won the Bundesliga yet again.

We’ve given him a +1 to ensure that the number 1 spot of CDM’s is his without competition!

Leon Goretzka - 87 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 87

Goretzka himself had a fairly okay season with 5 goal contributions from midfield but wasn’t anything too special.

We were tempted with a downgrade but thought that may have been a little too harsh.

We’ve kept him at 87 but that won’t stop him being one of the most feared cards in the early weeks.

Thomas Muller - 86 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 87

Thomas Muller continues to be one of the most consistent players in world football. He’s been doing it since 2008 and doesn’t look to be stopping any time soon.

Muller had a decent season with 16 goal contributions in all competitions is still a very good return but as with many players, he’s getting that little bit older and can only see a downgrade happening.

Ryan Gravenberch - 79 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 79

Ryan Gravenberch still has so much to give but has unfortunately been limited for time at Bayern.

Most of his appearances this season came from the bench, in fact he started just 3 Bundesliga matches.

It’s looking more likely that he’ll move away in the last few days of the window and we hope he does. That amount of talent can’t be wasted on the bench.

Jamal Musiala - 85 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 81

Borussia Dortmund pretty much had 2 hands on the Bundesliga trophy last season before Musiala stepped up with seconds remaining to snatch it from them.

The Bayern midfielder had a very impressive season scoring 16 and assisting 16 in all competitions sowe’ve upgraded him by a huge +4!

Kingsley Coman - 86 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 86

Kingsley Coman had a decent season but as with many Bayern players it wasn’t anything too special.

He missed a few games through injury this season but still performed when he was relied upon.

The Frenchman didn’t put a foot wrong throughout the season, so 86 it is.

Serge Gnabry - 85 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 85

Gnabry had a very good season and struck up a fantastic partnership with Leroy Sane on the wings.

Serge contributed 17 goals and 12 assists in all competitions and would usually be enough for an upgrade but we think he’s just below the level of others we’ve rated 86!

Leroy Sane - 85 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 84

Sane has been impressing ever since his return to Germany and his goals helped propel Bayern to yet another league title.

The former Manchester City man scored 14 and set up another 10 across all competitions which earned him a place in the Bundesliga TOTS.

We’ve upped Leroy to an 85 which we think is deserved and hopefully will be even higher if he keeps up these performances.

Strikers

Harry Kane - 90 OVR

FIFA 23 Rating - 89

The England captain finally left Tottenham Hotspur in search of a trophy, and although it may not have come in the Supercup, we’re sure he won’t have to wait too long.

If a certain Norwegian forward didn’t exist then people would have been in awe of Harry Kane’s goal scoring this season.

The Spurs man scored an astonishing 30 goals in the Premier League but was unfortunately overshadowed.

Which team should we predict next?
