Hello everybody, for my first review I would like to introduce you the best GK of FIFA 22. I played him for more than 100 games in rivals and Futchampions and the only thing I can tell you is that 70k for this guy isn't enough.
This monster will save you entire matches as he can predict the future with his Jedi abilities. He's literally everywhere thanks to the Force and makes your opponent losing his mind. The only cons is that he is in a lot of teams and you will often play against him.
May the Force be with you
Can save every shot
Links with Kimpembe and Marquinhos
Price (70k for a GK is expensive but not for a game changer like him)
This card is an enigma. I used Donnarumma in a 4-1-2-1-2 narrow alongside VVD, Kimpembe, Robbo and OTW Hakimi. My first impressions of this card was that the Italian was pure shite. He was lanky, slow, and would let in shots straight at him, but most importantly it was like his fingers were coated with butter. He dropped every single fucking ball. Corner? He catches then drops it and fumbles to get it back, Shot right at him?, if he doesn't let it go through his fucking legs or under his arm, he'll catch it, drop it than catch it again, I don't think I saw him properly catch the ball once while in my squad. for the first 10 games or so, I wanted to jump out the window every time I saw an attack coming cause I knew if they get a shot off, no matter where it was, Butterfingers™ over here would fuck up and I would concede. Than a miracle happened. I packed untradeable Di Natale and had to switch up my team. Unfortunately for me (or so I thought), I had to keep KerrygoldButter™ over here so Kimpembe could be on full chem. Suddenly Donnarumma was diving like Sterling in the semifinals. Top corner finesse shots didn't stand a chance, power shots on either side were quickly blocked and when rushing out of goal it was almost impossible to get through him. It was like all my problems went away. Except one. I'd like to say that my reaction was similar to I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!™ but alas, such was not the case. I watched as Lukaku blasted shots right at him from 20 yards out and Donnarumma's arms mimicking those of Suigetsu's (for those that don't get the reference, his arms were like water). I watched an Alex Telles recover a ball the GK dropped (again) during a corner and shoot the ball straight through his chest. I watched in agony as he saved a Messi finesse on his lefty just for Werner to accidentally pass the ball upwards and it rolling past Donnarumma. Without further adieu, my final verdict:
Donnarumma is like a piece of coal. Under immense pressure, he shines like a diamond, but otherwise he's just another piece of coal innit.
Tried him on Basic, Cat and Glove chem styles and the story is the same every time. Will pull off a couple of incredible saves that should not have been saved, and will then let in 3 horrendous goals that a bronze keeper would have saved, and that's not an exaggeration.
There is a consistent theme with the goals he concedes, most are low-powered shots, low on the ground- he appears to flinch the other way and just watch them go in- if you're playing against him, there's your answer.
Switched from Neuer to him because I wasn't totally happy with Neuer, but Neuer is leagues above this guy, at least he's consistent.
Overall would not recommend at all; insanely over priced and very inconsistent.
Good Diving
6ft5
Concedes easy saves frequently
Appears to have difficulty saving low shots- doesn't get down quick enough
i find it funny the amount of praise this keeper gets, unfortunately its fake... Cannot save anything even if it were to hit him in the face, avoid this keeper at all costs, he is simply not worth it
