im gonna be honest, I bought this guy because he was a beast last year, but this year he feels heavy. whenever you wanna turn with him he feels like a truck, my play-style depends on 5 star skillers, and this guy did everything last year. my first game using him was shit, he missed a lot of touches, every defender was faster than him, every counter attack I get he ruins. I used hunter and I also tried engine and hawk, but sadly nothing changed, so I had to change him with inform junior and dembele. I would love to keep on playing with him , but he just isn't like he used to be. btw I'm in elite 2180. I'm gonna try Garrincha and kaka, I think they would be prefect, but I'm mainly disappointed by this guy.
I remember being realy hyped when Eric released previous year. After giving him some chances I think me and most players that used him came to the conclusion that Cantona didn't fit in the meta on 21.
Now this year, at least for now, fifa is very very different.
I feel like pace is not that important for a striker. Its more about shooting, strength and some decent dribbeling/passing so your player reacts faster on the ball (passing, shooting, being able to do something after he gets the ball in his feet).
Eric always looked like the full package since he is big, strong, decently fast, high shooting dribbeling and passing.
This year finally its his year. He fits perfectly in the 'meta' at the moment.
Let me tell you:
-Pace: I feel like this year the fast players are the players that have a decent amount of pace, especially acceleration combined with good agility and ball control. Lets say messi 'only' has 80 base sprint speed but he is so quick on the ball that he outpaces most defenders without a problem. This is the same case for Eric. With hunter he has insane pace and his base dribbeling is good enough for him to be quick enough. He outpaces most defenders + combined with his strength, which we will talk about later, he is RAPID and hard to get off the ball.
-Shooting: My guy Cantona scored 17 goals in 10 div rival games. We all know how strong goalies are this fifa and Cantona is the only player that comes close to what finishing was in fifa 21. He is able to score goals from angles no one else is able to make. His weakfoot feels like 5 star and it feels like he has 200 shotpower. Now I don't know if this is an Eric thing or that icons are a bit better at making goals this year. This is the first icon i've tried. What I can say is that his shooting is waaaay better compared to high end gold players like cr7, mbappe, messi, neymar. As I said before he makes goals that i'm not even trying anymore with the players mentioned above.
-Passing: Everything Eric does with the ball is magical. His passing is outstanding. I use him as a target man in a 442 and his passes to the wingers, other striker are so reliable. Short,long,throughballs,crosses,... Name it and Cantona is able to do it. Insanely good.
-Dribbeling: For being 6'2 Cantona is very agile and smooth with the ball. Previous year height and bodytype was very important. This year I feel like this doesn't matter that much as long as the player has decent dribbeling. Lukaku,haaland,kane are all players that imo are very good. Now compare theire stats with Cantona's and you will see what I mean. Cantona is basically a Haaland on crack with 5* skills and 4* wf. Ofcourse he is no Messi/Neymar on the ball but he feels very agile and quick.
-Defending: Not that important for a striker but his heading is top notch and since he has high strength and agression he is annoying to get past.
-Phy: This is where Cantona is different to other players. A player with high pace, very good dribbeling combined with his insane strength, agression, stamina and jumping is just levels. He bullies most defenders with his eyes closed. Sometimes it feels like you are playing with the Hulk. Defenders realy realy struggle to defend against him. Abuse L2 (putting your body between the ball and the defender) on him and he is almost unstoppable. Sometimes players like VVD, Upamecano, Rudiger are able to strength him off but I feel like its normal since those defenders have very high strength as well. Still if you are using fast cbs with meh strength you will have a very bad time against Eric.
Conclusion: Cantona is very very good in the current state of fifa. He is a fast strong striker with incredible shooting, passing and dribbeling. Eric fits the meta perfectly at the moment and although he costs 1,5m coins he brings your team to the next level. If you have coins to splash make sure to try him out. You will not regret a single coin.

I actually was waiting for Ginola's pricerange to get fixed, then he turned out to be a little over budget. But am I glad i gave this man a try instead he is insane. That's probably what you expect to hear but yeah he is. I uses him along side CR7 (who i packed untradable, lucky me) mostly in 442, but also 4411, 4231 and 4321 (with hunter). Compared to CR7, this man excels at passing, dribbling, shooting and winning duels in general. He is so steady on the ball and with the 5 star skills + 4 star weakfoot combined he is unpredictable. The only con i can find in his playing style is that he is a bit clunky, he doesn't turn as quick as Dembele and Vinicius (because he has <90 agility) and when he challenges strong players like Koulibaly he often loses balance. He is also good with headers, but don't buy him to only use crosses. That would be a waist of 1.6 mil if you can buy Weghorst for 700 coins.
I would definitely recommend to use him to use him IF you have decent players around him (it's not a one man team, its 11) and if you know how to use several 5 star skillmoves (i'd recommend learning the Antony turn and the aka/akka idk how to spell it, at least these are the ones I MAINLY used). I'm selling him now with 100k profit and im glad i got to use him, prob gonna try Garrincha next.

I have tried a lot of strikers this year (Gold Mbappe, 90 Fekir, WW Martial, Prime Dalglish, Mid Eto'o, etc.) because it's been hard for me finding the best striker for my game style and since i don't have enough coins for cards like R9, Eusebio, Cruyff and company so i'm trying to find the perfect mid tier striker for me. However i felt like this guy need a review even though there are already a couple reviews on him. The fact is that i had so may doubts before buying him, he had the very difficult job of replacing gold Mbappe (we all know how good he is) and looking at his stats you can say he's an absolute monster but we all know how much body type and height are important on FIFA. I still bought him and i'm overall very happy with him, I use Hunter on him and he's really fast with and without the ball, his runs are perfects and sometimes it looks really effortless to bridge into opponents defences with through passes. His dribbling is not that bad, the 5 star skills helps a lot in this, but don't expect him to dribble like Neymar, Pele or Messi, this is not how you have to use him, in fact his biggest cons are narrow dribbling situation, you can't just spam left stick dribble or RB dribble like with other cards, it just doesn't work; however when it comes to normal dribble situation, for example when the opponent is not pressing hardly and he has enough space to turn and face the goal or during a counter, it's over. Point the defender, spam a Zidane 360 or an elastico and he's gone, he feels like defender can't follow him, they blocks and all you have to do now is smash the shoot button on second post.
With him you can shoot literally from everywhere, he's shooting is insane, if you are not pressed just shoot, it doesn't matter where you are, it's either a goal or a corner, he never miss. But why would you prefer him over cards like Prime Stoichkov, Baby Eto'o or Prime Rooney who are also very fast and can shoot? His strength. It's very very very difficult to take away the ball from him, especially if you abuse L2/LT, he helped me to solve my main issue with strikers and it's even clearer when i compare him with my other striker (FB Griezmann) who has a lot of good things but get bullied a lot of times by defenders. In conclusion he's really funny to use, he made me smile a lot of times while using him and i don't find anyone who is as complete as this guy, he's class and it's been a pleasure to play with him, the only reason i'm selling him it's because i have finally enough money to buy if Mbappe but if he was untreadable he would have never left my club, see you soon King, if i'll ever be able to afford the Prime.
Shooting: As i said his shooting is out of this world, he can score literally from every position inside and outside the box, on first or second post. Arguably one of the best shooters for this price range if not the best alongside mbappe (who however have not a good finesse shot like Eric)
Pace: with hunter, he's really fast for a 1.88 striker and
Movements and positioning: He's always on the right spot at the right time inside the box, sometimes he comes in midfield to play one twos with the CAM or the CM he never does useless runs (you know, when strikers sprint and even tho the CB is following them, making impossible to do a through pass, they still sprint and now you have no one to pass the ball to)
Price: Not expensive now, with 450/500k the only guy who can compete with him is Mbappe
Dribbling: as i said in certain situations he's a bit slow with the ball but 5* skill helps a lot, i'm not a skiller abuser but if you are and you can skill correctly there is no problem then
